Get away from it all when you stay under the stars at our new Cattle Yard Camp. This unique Glamping experience offers all the modern conveniences in a private secluded bush setting amongst nature. with an outdoor fire pit. Conveniently location close to Geelong, Ballarat and Daylesford, approx. 1 hour out of Melbourne. We are also situated in the Moorabool Valley wine area. There are some really good wineries to visit. Some are pet friendly. Check out Clyde Park, Austins and Del Rios. The space There are plenty of activities to do during the day. Check out the surrounding towns such as the historic Steiglitz, bush walking or mountain bike riding in the lush Brisbane ranges, or simply sit by the open fire pit on the property to relax in winter. In summer, enjoy a sitting in the shade and read a book or simply enjoy the fresh country air and walk amongst the trees. You will see many birds, kangaroos and if you are a good spotter, a koala or two on the many gum trees found on the property. This property is also perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. On a clear night, you can lie on the grass and watch beautiful stars in the sky. The sunset in this property is breath taking. Pack a picnic basket and a rug to watch it. It will be an experience like no other. You can bring your own tent for extra guests or children. We can provide a 2 person tent for $40 for your stay. Guest access Guests have access to the 26 acre property. One great area is our Little Springs situated on one of the dams on the property. Relax and unwind, have a cheese platter, or wine. This is a shared space. Other things to note The hosts have 2 small dogs. Generally, they get along well with most other small breeds. Please inform the host prior to arrival if you have big dogs. The host requests that the dogs are accompanied by the owner(s) at all times. The dogs are allowed to roam freely on the property, however they must not be out of sight from the owners due to the presence of wildlife. Please also respect the privacy of the host and try not to let the dogs come too close to the host' own residence. The owners must pick up their dog's droppings and be accountable for the safety of their own dogs. For guests wanting to enjoy a fire, the Host will be able to provide a large wheel barrow load of wood for $45. With this the Host will prepare the fireplace in the entertainment area, so all you have to do is light it. Please let the Host know so it can be prepared in advance to your arrival.
