Welcome to the Duchess. She’s a grand old lady that we have put a lot of time into restoring and bringing back her class and status. We are a short walk to downtown Catonsville and a few minutes from Old Ellicott City. We are right next to the 695 corridor for easy access to 295 and 95 as well as Baltimore. We are only a few minutes from BWI for easy travel. We are walking distance to Spring Grove Hospital and minutes from John’s Hopkins. Bus routes for CCBC and UMBC stop in front of the house. The space This is a 3 bed, 2 bath apartment. The apartment is about 1200sq ft and has a front and a rear entrance. You have full access to the living room, kitchen, laundry, shared bathroom, and back patio and backyard. You are allotted one parking spot behind the house. If you have day guests visiting please ask me and I can direct you to where there is parking for them. The back patio and back yard may be used by you and your guests. There is a bonfire area and I am able to setup outdoor movies with prior coordination. I’d appreciate no overnight guests. Thanks! Guest access ROOM Your room is a private room. BATHROOM The bathroom is shared. Please try to keep it very clean, wipe down surfaces and rinse shower walls down after use and keep all towels and bath mats in your room so the bathroom is always staged for the other person to use. Please keep counters clear of items and store them in the vanity or your room. - Please leave door open when not in use so other guests know the room is free. KITCHEN The kitchen is shared. Please ensure you wipe down surfaces after use and wash dishes and put them on drying rack. Also please ensure your food items are stored in your area and not left on the countertops. I try to keep the kitchen staged so it’s always ready and clean for the next person to use. Please help me with this. Please always use stove vent fan when doing any kind of cooking. OUTSIDE There is a side porch, back patio, and bonfire/hammock area. All of these are open to anyone and I hope You will be able to enjoy them and relax. There are fruit trees and vegetables growing in the yard. Help yourself! During your stay I’m easy going and I will do my best to be available to show you around the house when you arrive.
