A Cozy Space for Connection

Welcome to our cozy oasis, where creativity meets comfort! This small custom house is designed with music lovers, book enthusiasts, and families in mind. Behind a moving bookcase, you'll find a "chamber of secrets" full of toys and a well stocked library. With a variety of genres to choose from, there's something for everyone. You could try your hand at guitar, banjo or ukulele. Or pick up the hand bells. Just a short walk from downtown, you're sure to enjoy your stay here. The space Within this 2 story house, you'll notice that we got the details right. With custom artwork, a hidden room, books and instruments galore, you'll have everything you need for a happy stay in Silverton. Just past the front threshold, you step into a mixed use living and dining room area. This room has the essentials and much more: comfortable chairs, cozy couch, TV, dining table and fully stocked game cabinet. Sink into the wingback chair with a photography book and a blanket. Pick up the guitar, ukulele, banjo or hand bells and lose yourself in the music. As you move into the hallway, you might notice a bookshelf with a secret. Pull the right book and the bookcase becomes a door! More books, toys, and surprises inside. Further along the hall is our 1st floor bathroom, which features a custom walk-in shower and everything you need to get ready for the day. You'll find plenty of storage space within the medicine cabinet for your personal bathroom supplies. Past the bathroom, you'll find a full kitchen with enough space to cook whatever your heart desires. No caffeine deprivation in the morning with both drip coffee and tea options provided. When you're ready to brew your favorite hot beverage, you'll have a difficult time choosing which handmade ceramic mug is your favorite. Tucked away next to the full-size fridge is a wash/dryer combo unit in case you need to launder any clothes while you're here. Detergent is provided. The back door will lead you to a slated stone patio with seating if the weather is accommodating. The back patio is fully enclosed and accessible from the back door as well as lockable gates on each side of the house. Both bedrooms and the 2nd bathroom are located upstairs. The front bedroom has high ceilings and a queen size bed. It faces east and gets beautiful morning sun. Blackout blinds and velvety green curtains can be used to block out the light if you enjoy sleeping late. A simple yet elegant solid-wood desk and comfortable chair are available if you need a dedicated work space during your stay. In addition to buttery soft sheets and both firm and soft pillow options, each bedroom has a dresser, sound machine, air purifier, hangers, extra blankets, luggage rack, and even bins with toys/activities. We hope you leave thinking, "They thought of everything!" Inside the 2nd bedroom, you'll find a queen bed with a twin bed lofted over top. Both bedrooms have the space to set up a pack-n-play if you're bringing a toddler along. Between the two bedrooms and just off of the upper landing, you'll find a compact full bathroom. If you need a soak, here is where you'll enjoy the property's only bathtub. In addition to a fan, we've installed a Japanese-style wall sound machine in case you want to keep your private noises private. With full transparency We are located a short distance from McGinnis Field, which is home to many sporting events for the local schools during the Fall and Spring. During these events, the scene is lively and the stadium lights might be on. This is part of Silverton's small town charm. Listening to the distant cheering might bring a smile to your face and make you want to wander over for a hot dog and some popcorn. But if this doesn't sound like your cup of tea, you could close the blinds and turn on the sound machines (which block out almost all of the noise and light). Beyond the local sports teams, Silverton and the surrounding area hosts many exciting events throughout the year. Every weekend, from May to September, there is a local Crafter's Market downtown with live music, food, and a lovely atmosphere. On a Saturday, you could venture to our award-winning Farmer's Market as well. You could come to enjoy the largest Oktoberfest event in the state, just 20 minutes down the road in Mt. Angel. Or you could come for the annual holiday craft event at Silver Falls State Park and walk away with a free wreath, birdhouse, ornament, and sugar cookie! Don't miss the Holiday Lights at the Oregon Gardens with craft vendors, dry tubing, bonfires and beer gardens, and hot apple cider. Beyond the abundant local events, this house is just a 10 minute walk from downtown. Silverton has a quaint small town feel with many thriving local businesses. If you like to shop, you will find several antique shops and home goods stores along with a used bookstore. Unbeknownst to most, Silverton has one of the top vintage clothes dealers in the nation so stop by Daylight Vintage to meet the owner and upgrade your wardrobe. For food, you can hit the one of several local coffeeshops, each with their own unique twists. If you need libations, you can choose from a number of bars, upscale pubs, a local brewery. Silverton restaurants cover classic American fare but also Thai, Mexican, and Japanese. If you are looking to get out a little further than walking distance, this house is located just 13 miles from Silver Falls State Park and less than 2 miles from the Oregon Gardens. Other things to note Should you need transportation from the Airport to our BNB or visa versa, feel free to message us and if we are free we'd be happy to transport you for an additional cost. We do not allow pets or emotional support animals in our bnb during your stay. If you have a service animal, they are absolutely allowed to stay, but cannot be left alone at any time in the bnb and must be housebroken.
