If you want to get closer to the ground, take a self guided walking “scavenger hunt” around the property and learn about the animals, fish, pond and trees. Very informative and thought provoking. Looking for relaxation, make a picnic at the spool tables near the pasture and watch the alpacas, goats and pigs eat and play. Some of them will come right up to the fence and watch you too. Don’t stay cooped up in a hotel or private room. Get your nature fix staying here at Spring Haven Farm. Relax in the calming embrace of our rural setting. There are 4 other homes on Spring Haven Farm. The nearest to the Bunkhouse is about 2 city blocks away; about 1,000 feet away. You can barely see them from the Bunkhouse. The pond and firepit are about 1/4 mile away on a unlit gravel road. A pleasant walk lit by the starry sky where you can actually see the Milky Way. However, the large porch and the huge lawn around the Bunkhouse are private to you. There is also a 3 acre pasture right across the gravel drive where one can enjoy the farm, play games or fly kites. Enjoy the gathering but no very loud noise or music to upset other visitors please. All noise must be acoustic. Using the firepit is an additional charges and must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Guest access You have the whole house, a very, very large private yard and veranda. You might share the other acres and acres of pasture and lawns on Spring Haven Farm with other guests on the property. It is similar to a park, and much more private than a campground or beach. Please note that unregistered guests must be approved if you invite them to visit you and may incur an additional fee depending on the length of visit. Linens and towels are provided, but you must make your own beds. Other things to note We have an industrial fogger, so before every stay we fog the entire interior with vital oxide....this is not merely wiping down surfaces, but disinfecting every nook and cranny. This is a Bunkhouse, mostly for lots of sleeping space with bunkbeds, futons, etc. It is mostly sleeping and bathing space. However, there is a full kitchen, a very large table in the dining area and futons that can be used as living room or meeting room space.
