Experience a peaceful and cozy loft apartment that has everything you need for a weekend getaway or an extended stay. This studio apartment in a historic building has lots of amenities packed into an efficient space. Free street parking is available. The unit is only a five-minute walk to picturesque downtown Morris, where you'll find plenty of dining and shopping options. Morris is near multiple communities for an easy commute. The space Full kitchen, which has a dining table, dishwasher, apartment-size refrigerator and cooking essentials, including dishes, silverware, glasses, pots and pans, espresso machine, small appliances, salt & pepper, oil, etc. The bathroom space also has a full washer and dryer available for your use. The studio portion of the unit has a couch, lounge chair, 43 inch TV with high speed internet. The second floor loft bedroom is an efficient space and includes a queen size bed, micro desk, and a closet for hanging clothes. There is a blow up mattress and extra bedding if needed if you have more than two guests. The thermostat is an Ecobee and set on eco settings. Guests can manually change the settings or host can do it remotely. Please contact host with any questions about its operation. We want our guests to be comfortable! Guest access The passcode to the lock will be shared for check in and will be valid the duration of the stay. Other things to note This studio is in a historical house in a friendly, safe neighborhood just blocks from State Route 47. Morris is located near the junction of I55 and I80. It’s a community of around 20,000 and has all the amenities needed for any work or holiday stay. There are multiple grocery stores, drug stores, household goods stores as well as any other amenity needed. Morris is also home to a community hospital for healthcare needs. There are an array of events offered in Morris all summer, fall and winter long. We have one of the largest antique car shows in the Midwest once a month, plus a French market on the same day. There is racing at the Grundy County Speedway most weekends. The local BBQfest, Forestfest, Dulcimer Festival, Illinois Craft Beerfest, Cornfestival, Home for the Holidays and numerous shopping events downtown have put Morris on the map as a destination. Morris is only about 55 minutes from lakefront Chicago, 30 minutes from Starved Rock State Park, 60 minutes to Bloomington/Normal. It’s within driving distance to a plethora of amenities. There is a blow up bed and extra bedding if needed upstairs in the smaller closet. For the property, please keep in mind that this historic apartment front door needs to be pulled closed to lock the door. (Press the Yale key to lock). Any dishes used must be placed in the dishwasher and please run the load. Please take any extra food with you. There is a garbage and recycling receptacle outside and to the left of the front porch.
