The fully renovated original farm cottage has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and all the amenities for a comfortable short or long stay - including laundry, fast Wi-Fi, outdoor space and a fully stocked kitchen. Stay and enjoy this unique rural escape in the heart of the gorgeous Cowichan Valley. The space A flexible space depending on your needs, the cottage has 1.5 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms including your pick of beds; a king, queen, double and single. All with luxury organic mattresses and bedding. *Please note the king is in a loft space atop steep stairs - access limited to only very mobile guests. There is also a dedicated workspace and lots of storage in the loft. *The queen is in its own private room off of the screened porch, with an en-suite half bath (no tub or shower). Access has 2 steps. *The main floor bedroom with a single over double bunk is great for kids or teens. Lots of space for a pack 'n play and features dark curtains for napping kids. The cozy living room includes an efficient Stuv wood-burning stove and a large TV equipped with cable, Netflix and DVD player (with many DVDs!). The modern and clean bathroom has a shower and deep tub, with shampoo/conditioner and body wash provided. Full kitchen includes dishwasher and stove, but please note no microwave. Outside is a large fenced yard, great for dogs and kids alike, and both a cozy screened porch and an outdoor covered area with a sink and sitting area. Roast marshmallows and warm up around the fire pit with plenty of chopped wood available (when no fire bans in effect). Secure storage for bikes and sports equipment available. Lots of parking. Room for RV parking available by request. Dedicated 240V 30 AMP circuit plug available for EV charging. Compatible with most Level 2 chargers, providing 5.8 KW of power. (Please note - charger not provided.) Hosts live on the property up a partially separated driveway - including 2 kids, 2 boisterous doodles and 10 chickens. Fresh eggs available upon request! Horses and cows are also close neighbours and can sometimes be found searching for apples at the fence. Guest access Guests have full access to the cottage and its surrounding fenced yard. Gear storage available in the storage shed by request. Other things to note This is a quiet and rural area where privacy and peace is respected at all times. We welcome considerate guests looking for a tranquil retreat. The cottage is great for families or professionals and available for monthly stays.
