The apartment is located at the top of Skaret on Valderøya outside Ålesund with panoramic views of the shipyard along the coast. 10-15 min. drive to Ålesund city center, about 10 min. to the airport. Hiking opportunities just outside the door to the mountain Signalen with great views, or to the other islands Godøya, Giske or Vigra. Golf course at Vigra, 5 min. drive. At Alnes, located on Godøya, there is an art gallery/cafe. Short distance to all the sights of Ålesund and Sunnmørsfjellene with all their hiking opportunities. Valderøya is connected to Ålesund with two underwater tunnels. There are bridges/tunnels to the other islands in the municipality. Nice hiking opportunities right outside the door to the mountain Signalen with a nice view of the sea. Also great hiking opportunities on the three other islands in the municipality, Godøya, Giske and Vigra. All the islands are connected to the mainland with bridges and underwater tunnels. Ålesund has many attractions, including Aksla with stairs from the city center, restaurant at the top, aquarium, etc. Lots of nice restaurants and other places to eat. The center of Ålesund has a special architecture (Art Nouveau) after a city fire.
