Chestnut lodge a cosy quirky unique space.

Nestled in a small village with a great pub and country walks within 5 minutes. This unique place has a style all its own. It is made from recycled/reclaimed material's, bed side tables which are made out of suitcases, a handmade high bed with storage. The breakfast bar is a cast iron cutting table from an old printing press. There is a kitchen area made up of vintage drawers and doors, there is a small fridge, toaster, kettle but no oven. With French doors leading to a private courtyard area. The space An open plan living space, with a separate toilet, sink and shower room. A high double bed made out of ash with storage. Please note it is quite a high bed but we provide a small step if required. A smart TV, Wi-Fi and usb ports beside the bed. A breakfast bar made out of a Victorian old printing press with two bar stalls made out of tractor seats. There is a comfortable corner with two old arm chairs and a little table to sit and read or play games. The kitchen area is made up of vintage doors and drawers with a hammered granite top and reclaimed oak. There is a small fridge, toaster and kettle, please note there is no oven or cooking facilities. If you are staying for longer periods we are happy to provide you with an air fryer or similar, this can be requested as long as we have notice. You are also welcome to bring your own. We will supply the essentials for a breakfast with ground coffee, cafeteria, tea, milk, butter, spreads , cereal and bread. If you have any allergies please let us know. We will supply fresh towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. At the back of the property the French doors lead to a small private courtyard garden with two chairs and a small table. In the colder months we have eco electric radiators that can keep you warm. There is a lovely pub 5 minute walk from the property. There are lovely country walks including two woods walkable from the property. The Ashdown Forest is also not far but you would need to drive to the forest. Uckfield town is close by with lots of shops, restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, takeaways and an independent cinema. Guest access You can park on our drive outside the wooden gate, then enter the wooden gate that leads to the lodge, the lodge and private courtyard garden is your own private space. You do have to pass the side of the main house to get to the building.
