Tucked away on 15 wooded acres near Torch Lake, Owl Tent offers a rustic Creekside getaway with privacy, campfires, and the sounds of the creek. Relax on the covered porch or unwind with a good book. Enjoy off-grid comfort with modern conveniences, including a camp kitchen, bedding, and essentials-just arrive and settle in. A naturally lit outhouse and NEW solar shower house are nearby. All you need is food and a cooler! The space This tent is a one room studio/layout. Built on an elevated platform and is accessed by stairs, making it unsuitable for toddlers. Doors and windows are screened and can be zipped closed for privacy. Please note that, as a canvas tent, there are no locking framed doors. This is our own family getaway, too, and we've tried to equip it with the comforts we appreciate ourselves. While still keeping with the simplicity of tent camping, inside you'll find a handmade queen log bed, a pull-out couch if a second bed is needed in the living area, camp kitchen, dining table for games, cards and art supplies for anyone feeling artsy, cozy seating, twinkly lights, and electricity supplied by our battery and inverter system, which can charge your phone and similar small electronics. New! A simple, bright clean off grid shower house has been added this season. This is a solar shower setup designed to fit the off-grid nature of the property. We provide 6 gallons of water, typically enough for two guests. Guest access "Guests enjoy private access to the tent and 15 wooded acres, including the creek, firepit, shower house, outhouse, and surrounding woods. Planning on bringing a boat? Please contact us in advance with size of your boat and trailer so we can confirm accommodations. Other things to note >Shower House - Clean off-grid shower house with two-3-gallon solar showers and 6 gallons of water provided. >Electricity -110-volt power is available through an off-grid battery/ inverter system for charging devices and light electrical use. Easy-to-follow instructions provided in the tent. >Outhouse - Stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, and hand sanitizer. >Kitchen - Fully equipped camp kitchen with a two-burner propane cookstove (fuel provided), cookware, dishes, utensils, coffee, tea, and everyday essentials, just bring your cooler and food! >Water- 10 gallons of potable drinking water provided. >Firewood Firewood is available to purchase during your stay. >Parking - Please note, parking is a short distance from the tent. You cannot drive up to the tent so please consider that you'll have to carry items up a small hill. Trust us, it's worth it! (There is wheelbarrow for gear in parking area if needed) >Boats - If you are trailering a boat with you, we do have a large parking area but please contact us first with size.
