Stargazing dome on a family farm (The Starling)!

The Starling Enjoy the magic of the stars, northern lights and nature! This unique stay is on our 100yr old family farm. Come experience something beautiful as we revive our family farm into a special retreat. We have 2 geodesic domes ready to welcome you! Your glamping experience includes a cozy queen size bed, open sky dome, a wood stove, large deck and more! (*Luxury dome now available-see ad for details) We now have a sauna, a firepit, a flush toilet, a shelter and a BBQ!!! (No shower) The space We have 2 geodesic glamping domes on the property, with 2 more coming soon! Your dome is The Starling, situated in the woods but conveniently a little closer to the bathroom but not too close;) The Starling is a little more sheltered and therefore a little cooler in temperature on those hot days. Please note, when both domes are occupied, the other guests can walk the path in front of your dome and you can also see part of the deck of the Raven. (See photos) We chose to price this dome lower having slightly less privacy. Your main view is the woods and you have full privacy curtains. This dome is equally cozy! We provide wood and a starting kit w/guide for the stove. We have wine glasses, hot and cold mugs, a few hot beverage items, games, a serious flashlight, umbrella, extra blankets and filtered water. The bedding is 100% cotton and no harsh chemicals used in cleaning any bedding or the dome. There's a John! Happily providing a flush toilet and now hot water sink. The building is heated when needed. There are outlets inside and outside The John for use. We have a sauna! Very excited to have this feature for those cool evenings or mornings. See 'other details to note' for pricing, etc. Bring a swimsuit and towel:) Communal firepit available, subject to local fire restrictions. Wood is provided as are roasting sticks upon request. BBQ is available in our shelter area $8 per useage Other things to note This is a glamping experience! Think camping but your site is set up and we're providing a few luxury comforts. Please consider the following: It can be cold at night so preparation may include extra socks and layers for sleeping. (mitts, a toque, raingear and boots are good essentials) It can also get quite hot in the daytime, be sure to plan accordingly and to check the weather :) In our beautiful new rustic bathroom (The John), there is a flushing toilet and now hot water sink. There are also outlets inside and outside the building for use. We have filtered water and a kettle placed inside to help yourself. Wood will be provided for the stove. Please note, the dome is not preheated. 🩶Added service items available July '25🩶 ➤Our brand new barrel sauna is ready for use! Usage fee is $20pp/day or $35per couple ✺✺Waiver must be signed, $100 deposit pp (prepaid) and all RULES strictly enforced✺✺ ►No intoxication►No drinks►No food►No shoes ➤BBQ $8/usage We supply standard bbq tools only ➤Firepit, no fee. Wood is provided. We have roasting sticks available at no cost. Sorry, no personal cookstoves allowed at this time. Add'l fees can be paid by cash or through Airbnb. There is no wifi, but there is cellular service. There are touch lamps in the domes. We provide a flashlight however we recommend bringing a headlamp if you have one. There is a solar fan that is effective in circulating the air however, it will not feel like a fan blowing on you. Please also consider that you are in nature and flies, spiders, moths, wasps, ants, mosquitos, etc can all make their way into the dome whether its through the window or the open door. It's seasonal! There can be lots, there can be none. Most are not bothersome. We do a bug check prior to checkin. IF there are excessive bugs, please advise us as they may have found an entrance in through a weak spot. This is an active farm and there are hazards throughout, such as barbed wire, uneven ground (including holes), sticks and logs, wild animals, etc You are welcome to explore the farm. All buildings are restricted, please refrain from entering. There's plenty of forested area. We recommend not to go deep in the forest due to hazards such as steep cliffs and wildlife.
