The Swan House

The space The Swan House is an updated 1940’s cottage located a half mile from downtown Mount Gilead, 5 miles from Lake Tillery and 10 Miles from the Uwharrie Mountain trail head. Nestled on a neighborhood street among 100 year old oaks you can relax after exploring many of the attractions the area has to offer. If it’s the lake you plan to visit there is plenty of parking for your vehicles, boat and trailer. The comfy living area has a 50 inch Roku TV so you can kick back and relax after a day at the lake, hiking in the Uwharries or just taking in the local sights. Two cozy bedrooms each have a queen bed. Beautiful windows let in plenty of light with curtains to pull closed for a peaceful nights sleep. Ceiling fans are in each room and the bedrooms each have a ROKU TV. Bedroom one has a DVD player with a selection of movies available. The large eat in kitchen offers plenty of space for cooking and has most essentials you would need for both meal prep and cleanup. A Keurig and drip coffee maker are available with supplies to make your first morning cup of coffee or tea. The cheery updated bathroom has the essentials you will need during your stay. The Swan House also has a dedicated work space with monitors, keyboard and mouse so you can just plug into the docking station for full day of work or to just check your emails. A full size washer and dryer are available to use. An iron and ironing board are kept in the closet in bedroom 2. Historic downtown Mount Gilead offers a coffee shop, gift, clothing, and antique shops. There are several spots for dining out or picking up food to go in town and nearby. Several historic sites, a museum, wineries, a distillery and brewery are all less than 25 miles away.
