The Dragonfly's Nest

Enjoy this bush block and the nearby nature reserves, listen to the cockatoos amongst the gum trees or the odd duck on the dam. Fall asleep to the frog song and wake to the kookaburra calls. Take a torch out and look for the many possums and quendas amongst some of the old ruins. This charming getaway is close to the city but has the benefits of being in the bush. There is a picnic basket and rug available for your convenience. Note: There is some road noise at peak periods if windows open. The space This is a 2 bedroom cottage, adults only. Master bedroom has a king size bed with electric blanket and lots of built in storage. Second room is set up as a study with extra tv and recliner chair. Kitchen is modern with an induction hotplate and convection oven/microwave, no oven or dishwasher. There is a pull out table that can seats 2. There is a air fryer and coffee machine, with pods and all basic kitchen equipment. There is reverse cycle air conditioner in main bedroom and lounge and overhead fans in each room. Bathroom contains walk in shower and also washer and dryer. Towels and linen provided. There is traffic noise of outside at busy periods, this is why we dont charge huge amounts. Guest access You can wander the entire property, look at the ducks on the small dam, visit the derelict stables and old forge. There is even an old hut we use for the possums, although this is wired off. Just be mindful these are old building so enter at own risk. Visit the chooks, just dont let them out. Walk the firebreak :) Maybe you will be here when we have a bonfire that you will see scattered around the property. Other things to note Just wander up to the main house if you have any dramas or call Shay. Note we have 2 dogs that you may see around the property, they are harmless and kept inside mostly as we dont have secure fencing on the full perimeter.
