It's a great place to unwind and listen to the waterfall and creek among the trees behind the house. You can get away and still be close to everything in town. There are three comfy and cozy bedrooms, a living room, a brand new kitchen, 2 full baths, full size washer and dryer and an attached garage. There is also a breezeway for all your outdoor gear, bikes, snowboards etc. The house sits on almost half an acre with a new private deck to relax on. The town of Pleasant Valley is only a mile away with shops and restaurants close by. You're also only 15 minutes from Vassar College, Marist College, the CIA and the Omega Institute. Poughkeepsie Metro North Station is only a 15 minute Uber ride away. 1 1/2 hours from New York City by car. We live just 10 minutes away and are almost always available to help. We are empty nesters and even though we work a lot, we love the outdoors, especially in the Hudson Valley. We have lived Upstate for 26 years and really enjoy every season here. Pleasant Valley is cute town with farms for apple and pumpkin picking, hiking, bike riding and antiquing. James Baird State Park is only a ten minute drive away. It offers picnic tables, pavilions, rec programs, hiking, biking, a nature trail and cross country skiing, The Sports Complex offers softball, volleyball, basketball, tennis and a driving range. There is also an 18 hole golf course there. Freedom Lake Park is only an 11 minute drive away. It has a lake for swimming, picnic tables, a playground, a pavilions, volleyball, basketball, baseball as well Lagrange Day that in a fireworks display. It's also the site of various festivals and concerts. Other area attractions include the F.D.R. and Vanderbilt Mansions, the Bardovan Theater, the Catskill and Berkshire Mountains, Lake Taghkanic and Adirondack State Parks. Olana, Boschobel and Bard College are just a drive away. Skiing is close by at Thunder Ridge and Catamount. Hunter, Windham and Gore Mountains are also within driving distance. You can get to the house by car (1 1/2 hours from NYC and Albany), Metro North and Uber (1 1/2 hours on the train and a 15 minute Uber ride) . Amtrak also stops at the Poughkeepsie Train Station. Stewart Airport is just 40 minutes away.
