Casita w/Pool in Sayulita, Mex for Month-long rent
Description
Month-long (or more) rentals preferred. Casita Camila is in a residential neighborhood above Sayulita's town plaza. Three WiFi workspaces. Entry is 5 steps up from garage. Casita is an artistic design accented with rock walls. A waterfall cascades into a private salt-water dipping pool. Kitchenette has the basics. In bedroom are a King bed & Twin sofa-bed. Enjoy the private terrace with WiFi. Close to town & main beach. ($100 cleaning fee is monthly) The space You enter up 5 stairs into a charming, private "casita" (tiny house). The unique space has creative accents throughout. Natural large stones line the shower and bedroom. A boulder waterfall cascades into a private salt-water dipping pool encircled with tropical plants and palm trees. A private oasis of natural beauty and tranquility, this is perfect spot to cool off and relax after a day at the beach. The private terrace has plastic table and chairs + chaise lounges and can also act as a laptop-friendly workspace. The kitchenette comes fully equipped with everything you will need to prepare simple meals. ("Oven" is only a large toaster oven.) Round glass table acts as laptop-friendly workspace. The bedroom is comfortable, with beautiful light, high-quality linens. Cool and inviting, it features a king-size bed as well as a twin-size built-in sofa to read or nap. Long concrete workspace acts as desk for laptop work, or art projects. The bathroom has a shower surrounded by rocks. (There are 30+ “heart” rocks inbedded into the walls, all collected from Sayulita beaches.) There is plentiful hot water and good water pressure. A small white Eskie dog (Camilla) and a black cat (Sydney) live on the premises above the garage (where owner lives in a loft studio with a separate entrance from your Casita). The cat sometimes visits, but sliding screens keep her outside. If you are allergic, we can take extra precautions. Guest access Entry is through a secure covered enclosed garage that can hold a rented golf cart, in addition to owner's. (Please do NOT rent a car as no parking closeby and town parking is very limited.) Other things to note Sorry! No A/C offered (due to the high cost of electricity). But, if you’re willing to pay an additional charge of $15usd/day for A/C (for 'mindful' 2-4 hrs/day only usage), let me know? 6-mo Long-term renters will pay the CFE elect bill that has their A/C y pool pump on it, IF CFE bill "spikes" from usage. (You pay me that directly.) *Sometimes* the town electricity goes out. In that case we have no working water pump, but we do have a pool, and lots of buckets to fill up (leave in the sun for sponge baths). Camping experience is helpful! (Mexico is still a third-world country as far as infrastructure goes; not great for the faint of heart. it will help if you are patient and hearty!) Because of Covid, any extra staff are absent. There is a friendly pool guy Fridays and a wonderful cleaning person Saturdays, who cleans your casita and will order more large water bottles for you (25 pesos each from the water man). It is thoughtful to tip her. Currently there is no dedicated gardener or garage cleanup person. There is no one to wait on you, in other words, myself included. :-) Taking your garbage out to the weekly street pickup is necessary. There is recycling. Any help you can give to keep gardens watered and cleaned up will be appreciated. There are outdoor showers + 2 hoses to keep sand out of the inside casita, shower, and the pool. Our septic systems are delicate so we count on guests to keep sand and paper out of drains. It's extra work daily but necessary to hose salty sand off everything. There are buckets and a clothes line for hand washing (since there is no laundry service on-site). There is an economical laundry fluff y fold in town you can use. Towels and extra linens go there. I'll take care of weekly sheets and towels. "Fabrics" are provided to take to the beach, but you wash those and any beach towels you buy, taking to local fluff & fold in town. Note: Sometimes we hear their animals. Barking dogs, etc. Early morning roosters are sometimes annoying so it's recommend to bring ear plugs! Mexican holidays are sometimes hard to ignore as well. (Or someone has a party that goes on too long.) Overall the casita is surprisingly quiet compared to others. Highly recommend taking odorless garlic and Vitamin B (for mosquitoes) and Acidophilus (for digestion) a month before arriving and during your stay. Only drink filtered water the first two weeks.
