Orchard House is a private, tranquil retreat, set amongst the fruit trees on our property. 8 kms north of Upper Hutt. 1 km to Remutaka Cycle Trail and Pakuratahi Mountain Bike Trails. 3 kms to Te Marua Golf Course and Wellington Speedway. Built as a mobile Tiny House, now with the addition of a double bedroom, a conservatory/living room. This is a great base for outdoor activities or a quiet few days away. Close to to Upper Hutt and amenities, including the wonderful Brewtown. The space Set on 3 hectares of regenerating native bush, Remutaka Retreat Orchard House was completed in 2024 when we converted our daughter's Tiny House into a light filled retreat nestled in our orchard. You will often go to sleep listening to the ruru calling each other across the valley and wake up to the sound of tui and korimako (bellbirds) in the flax close by. With the Nga Haerenga Remutaka Cycle trail and mountain bike trails less than a 5 minute ride away and walking tracks for all ages and abilities through virgin bush and a disused railway tunnel all within walking distance, there is no end to the pleasures that the great outdoors offers, literally right on your doorstep. If cycling or bush walking is not on your agenda, then a stay at Remutaka Retreat Orchard House will certainly re-charge your batteries. The peaceful serenity and quiet isolation are great for getting away from it all, but the good thing is, you are only a 10 minute drive from the centre of Upper Hutt. Orchard House itself is a modern, warm and comfortable home with all the amenities to do your own cooking. Guest access Orchard House is private for guest use only. Self check in via keypad.
