The heritage Desert Willow is our smallest room and is comfortable for solo travelers, those who want to try out “tiny living”, or couples who love to sleep close. The space Our heritage room, the Desert Willow is one of the original tourist apartments. Sized like a studio, this room features a full bed, reading area with lounge chair, wet bar with small format refrigerator, and a bathroom with walk-in shower. Coffee and tea service, plus an on-demand reverse osmosis (RO) purified drinking water system round out the room. An outdoor bench seating area for two is located right by the entrance, and looks out to the original courtyard. The founders of The Hoosier, H.B. Lotz (Harold) and his wife Jennie, moved to Truth or Consequences (then named “Hot Springs”) from Indiana. This room is located right next to the original 1937 well, bathhouse, and lap pool where Mrs. Lotz used the hot springs for health benefits. What we love most about The Desert Willow Room: The historic charm, cozy retreat vibe, and reading by the window. Guest access HOT SPRINGS: Guests of the inn receive a complimentary 1-hour soak with each night of their stay, discounts for additional soaks, plus priority hot springs reservation assistance. Four private hot springs soaking areas are available, including three new outdoor pools and the original 1937 indoor bath. Your confirmation message will include information on how to schedule your complimentary hot springs soaks. COURTYARD: Your room is adjacent to the original 1937 courtyard. You'll have your own bench seating for two in a semi-private setting, plus use of the courtyard. GUEST LAUNDRY: A coin-operated laundry room is on the premises. DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA: All indoor and outdoor spaces on the property are non-smoking except for a designated area on the northeast corner of the parking lot.
