Stockholm archipelago cottage

A forest cottage set next to a nature reserve in Nacka, one of Sweden's most desirable areas to live. This is a cozy but luxurious cottage, ideal for a couple looking for a real Swedish experience. A big all-year outside jacuzzi, birch wood fire, 5 wood verandas, cozy kitchen, snug living room and beautiful land. 2 mins walk to glacial lake nestled in pine trees. Stay in for the cozy Scandic feel or jump on a bus to be in Stockholm in under 30 mins. Old style meets modern comfort. The space You will sleep in a wooden panelled room with a snug fire to keep you warm. An iron double bed and painted wooden furniture make this an ideal vacation home for a couple or a small family. There are two sleeping spaces up wooden stairs in the loft that another couple or a child could use, set under twinkling fairy lights, star pictures and a space theme. There is a cute and modern kitchen with dishwasher, coffee-machine, induction hobs, air-fryer and a big fridge freezer. Old style but with all modern appliances plus a little wooden table for breakfast. In the family room is a wooden dining table from the 1800s and a big screen TV with all the streaming sites: Britbox, Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Viaplay, Showtime, Disney, Apple, etc The bathroom has a walk-in shower, heated floor and towel rail. If you don't fancy making a fire, the house is fully heated with modern heaters and also an air-con machine that can be used as a heat pump. Toasty even in minus 20! There is a big fenced garden to relax in. Big enough to play with the most energetic of pups with four areas to sit and relax or enjoy breakfast or an evening glass or two. And of course, there is the hot-tub. Supposedly for six, but realistically comfy for four and perfect for two to really spread out. It is kept extra private with a wooden structure and open to the stars. Sip a chilled glass or two, let the bubbles work their magic and bathe under moon light. Let us know at least 48 hours before you arrive so we can fill and heat it. There is a 1000 SEK charge for use of the hot tub. This is to pay for the cleaning, heating and water. There are loads of board games and books, modern amenities, high speed internet and fire wood. Guest access The whole space is yours. The garden is perfect for keeping a little dog safe and for running around (as we do when we stay here). It wouldn't hold a cat or a bigger dog though. The fences can be jumped by something bigger like a deer. You can smoke on the back decks, but please use an ashtray. And no smoking inside please. There is parking on site. Other things to note There is no washing machine on site. All bedding is provided and the beds and towels are cleaned and changed before your arrival. If you need to wash clothes, there are a couple of good options nearby: • Orminge Kemtvätt (Orminge Centre) – A local dry cleaner that offers laundry services. You can drop off your clothes for a wash-and-fold service. Located just 5 minutes away by car or bus. • Tvättomaten, Ektorpsvägen 4 – A self-service laundromat about 15 minutes away. Machines take card or coins and it’s open daily. Both are easy to reach by bus or car. Please try and leave the house as clean as you found it. Before you leave, just strip the beds and put all dirty towels and bedding on the bathroom floor. And of course, if you don't fancy cleaning you can book a cleaner to come in when you check out to take of it for you. The charge is 300SEK per hour and you pay that through airbnb after you leave. You can smoke in the back decks and use the ashtrays provided. No smoking inside please.
