Casa da Eira Velha is located in a small, peaceful community on the outskirts of Montesinho Nature Park. The space The building was built, at their own material cost and effort, by the inhabitants of the small community of Aveleda, to serve as a primary school. The construction site, also made available by the community, was then called the old threshing floor. We acquired the property in 2022 and, in the same year, the restoration process began, which ended at the end of 2023. In the restoration of the building, we tried to maintain the rustic matrix as faithfully as possible, reusing, also to the extent possible, original materials and materials, especially shale and wood. The interior has been completely renovated, some original elements and lines have been maintained, mixed with contemporary lines and comfort standards. The house is located in isolation at the highest point of the small community, thus providing total privacy and a spectacular natural environment. Further down, two small streams pass by, and there is a small community leisure park next to the larger stream. To the north, about 4 km away, there is the small and pleasant river beach of Segirei. The house has STARLINK internet, with a minimum speed of 200 Mbps of low latency. The mobile network in the area is reasonable.
