The space The cottage is a comfortable base for exploring Snowdonia and North Wales. Located next to the historic Dorothea Quarry and Lakes, there are walks literally on your doorstep into Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Snowdon Base Camp at Rhyd Ddu is just a few miles away, making it the perfect location for those wanting to explore the iconic mountain. There are walking and cycling routes starting from the cottage, with swimming and diving in Llyn Nantlle and Dorothea lakes. The cottage sleeps up to 4 people We have equipped the cottage to a high standard, with electric heating and a log burner for snug nights in during the cold winter season, plus superfast FTTP broadband to keep you connected if you need to work during your stay. It has a comfortable lounge, with period cottage features, including a huge stone inglenook fireplace with a log burner and a dining table with stunning mountain views in addition to a 2 seater sofa and armchair. We have included an HD Smart TV with blue tooth speaker ability and access to Netflix, Amazon Movies and apps for BBC, ITV, CH4 and CH5. There are warm blankets for getting Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen/dining/utility area, leading onto the downstairs bathroom. The Kitchen is well equipped with all you need to cook and dine in style and includes and eat-in breakfast bar. A Nespresso coffee machine is included for your coffee boost in the morning. The well-appointed modern bathroom is also on the ground floor has a walk-in shower enclosure for easy access with electric shower for convenience. On the first floor, we have a master bedroom including a double bed and extensive wardrobe space, plus a second bedroom equipped with a small double bed. We have an elevated terrace at the front of the cottage with a Jack and Jill seat with stunning views towards the Nantlle Ridge. Guest access The whole property is at your disposal during your stay. Other things to note Please note the cottage is not suitable for guests with mobility issues, as the stairs are steep. All beds are fitted with mattress toppers and we provide duvets/pillows with pillow protectors as standard. Clean linen is supplied. We provide hand and bath towels. loo roll is also provided, and there are extra cleaning supplies so you can clean as you stay. The kitchen is well stocked with basics including, tea, coffee, sugar, salt & pepper, and olive oil. In addition, we supply t-towels, kitchen roll, and laundry products. Local shops are accessible within a 5-minute drive. There is a Co-op Local in Penygroes, and the usual supermarket chains (Morrisons/Tesco) in Caernarfon.
