There is a small tv with Netflix, Amazon prime for 1000s of movies and tv shows, and an alarm clock. The bedroom has a window ac unit in the summer months. Monday-Friday, a light homemade continental breakfast (granola, fruit, homemade pastry, muffins etc) will be left in the kitchen starting about 6:30 am. On weekends, if desired, we will make a full gourmet breakfast, such as French toast, waffles, bacon, fruit, etc. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are always available. We interact with guests as much or as little as desired. The Strathmore neighborhood is one of Syracuse's loveliest residential neighborhoods. The focal point of the neighborhood is Onondaga Park, which was built over 115 years ago. The park contains a small lake, tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pool, picnic shelters and walking trails. There is a charming stone bridge and gazebo on an island in the lake. On Tuesday evenings in July there are free concerts in the park. The neighborhood dates back to the beginning of the 20th century and is a mix of large old homes, smaller newer homes and two family homes. It is a very family friendly neighborhood with an active neighborhood association which organizes various events throughout the year. There is bus service from the neighborhood to downtown Syracuse but it is not regularly or conveniently scheduled or located close to our home. Uber and Lyft are prevalent and almost always available with minimal wait time. We have two cats: Lucy is very friendly and loves people and Charlie is very shy and probably won't come out of the basement during your stay. They are indoor only cats and may not be let outside. Please note that there are 6 steps to reach the back entrance. The guest suite is located on the second floor and can only be accessed by approximately 15 carpeted steps. There is a hand rail.
