An ideal place if you're on business, visiting friends / family or attending a gig. Furnished with a sofa, arm chair and other seating there’s plenty of space to make yourselves at home. With a Smart TV you can login to your favourite apps and shows. There’s a traditional, feature fireplace with a gas fire that makes for a cosy atmosphere. WiFi is available in the house. On the same floor, there’s a dining room that opens directly to the kitchen. The dining table can be extended to seat 6. The kitchen is smartly and practically presented. It has a few unique features - a window to watch the birds feeding in the trees and a solid oak worktop - along with the usual appliances and a large American-style fridge freezer. It can be frustrating to go away and not have the utensils we need, so we’ve tried to kit the kitchen with everything you’ll need. There’s a washing machine and separate dryer for laundry. Some initial detergent (for the dishwasher) and washing powder (for the washing machine) is provided for a weekend’s use; more than that please bring your own. The kitchen opens up onto a private patio, surrounded by trees, with a flower garden beyond; space to enjoy a quiet coffee in the morning or afternoon tea. On the first floor, at the front there’s the main bedroom which has a king-size bed, clothes storage (small walk-in cupboard & chest of drawers) and a full-length mirror. From the window there are views to the park. At the back there’s a single room with views of the park trees. It has storage for your clothes. The family bathroom at the back has a large shower with a traditional overhead mixer shower. There’s also a stand-alone, roll-top bath so you can soak away the day’s stresses. A combi boiler means hot water on demand. On the second floor there’s a double bed, and the option of a single sofa-bed… which defies expectations as being quite comfortable. Again there’s clothes storage, and views over the park. Please be aware like many traditional Sheffield homes, the main stairs are quite steep. There is on-the-road parking available in front of the house. As the road only serves local homes it’s relatively free from traffic. Firth Park has a strong sense of community, in a diverse, multicultural part of town. The local shops are just a short 10 minute walk through the park. There you’ll find grocery stores, various cafes, restaurants and takeaways, and the library and post-office. Guest access The whole house is available for your use, except for the cellar (accessed from the dining room). There’s shared access to the shed at the bottom of the garden which is used occasionally. Other things to note A high chair and travel cot are available on request. The back garden can be accessed via the kitchen. We don’t ordinarily give a key for the alley gate into the garden, but if you need access (i.e to store bikes out back) then we can give a key on request. Towels are provided
