This uniquely comfortable cabin is super cute and refreshingly FUN !!! With Vallecito Lake views and direct access, via a walk, off your own comfortable private deck. The large master bedroom is a perfect romantic retreat. If kids or extra family are in the mix, they will love the bunk house loft it will surely please with its 3 comfortable beds! (Please note that the loft has a low ceiling height & ladder steps.) Your family will enjoy lots of outdoor space on this extra large property! The space The Bunk House cabin was built by local wranglers in the late 50’s and is situated on 2.5 acres that border public Bureau of Reclamation lands, this allows for direct access to Vallecito lake from the back of the property, additionally the property has a park like feel to it with fire pit, area to play yard games, etc. The cabin itself is 800 SQ Ft, small but unique with a very fun layout. Kids absolutely love the sleeping loft bedroom. The Master bedroom is very spacious with beautiful views of the north end meadow of the lake. Additionally the back deck is set up with lounge furniture and a grill. This is an amazing space to just relax cook and wind down for the day. Warning! Lol you can get stuck here for hours! Rocky mountain General store is just 300 yards away and Vallecito County Market and Wemineuche Wood Fired Grill are less than a mile away. Marina and boat Launch are 3 miles and Durango is about 35 minutes. Guest access This stand alone home has a large back deck with BBQ for entertaining. Additionally guest have access to the large grassy compound where there is a fire pit tree swing and plenty of room to set up yard games. Walking a few minutes to the east guest can access Vallecito lake from the property. There is another rental unit on the property to the North, so we ask our guest to be mindful of their space. Other things to note Please note that the sleeping loft has a low ceiling height and ladder staircase and no door.
