Just 3 +/- hours from metro Detroit. Fox Hill sits on 1.5 natural, wooded and waterfront acres with lake views from most rooms in the house. Bald eagles are frequently spotted, along with loons, fox and other woodland creatures. Amenities: Guests enjoy a truly private setting with use of dock, swim raft, kayaks, giant floating "lily pad", fishing poles and water toys. Non water amenities include: Ping-pong table, bumper pool, bonfire pit, snow shoes, sleds, giant tree swing, yard games, board games, puzzles and more! We are family friendly, offering porta crib, highchair, baby gates and strive to maintain a well- kept and maintained property. Location & Recreation A quick (and scenic) drive to Petoskey, Lake Michigan beaches, wineries, Mackinaw, Indian River, Charlevoix and more!Approx 25 minute drive to ski resorts; Boyne Mountain, Nubs Nob, Boyne Highlands and Tree Tops. Recreation and adventure are at your doorstep! The Sturgeon River runs through Wolverine with fishing and water sports a quick 5 minute drive or less to river access points. Fox Hill also benefits from close proximity to a large network of ORV trails, including Tomahawk and the North Central Trail. Silver Lake: Enjoy the spring-fed crystal clear waters of all-sports Silver Lake. In addition to private lake frontage and dock, there’s a sandy, shallow neighborhood beach a 5 minute walk down Friendly Drive (1/2 mile). Boat launch is at the Silver Lake DNR Lake Access but guest docking not available at this property. Please note there are multiple (69) steps to the lakefront and dock area. A destination for Everyone! Fox Hill Cottage was created to be a place of solitude, adventure or family retreat throughout the seasons. There's something for everyone to enjoy; from a warm cup of coffee on the deck to snow shoeing on the frozen lake or nearby trails. Sandy beach with shallow, easy access is 1/2 mile down Friendly Drive. Dock is for pick up, drop off and recreation only. No guest boat docking available without advance approval. There is no air conditioning and no dishwasher.
