We’re situated in a peaceful spot between Hastings and Tunbridge Wells. Tulip Cottage has 2 bedrooms; 1 superking, 1 twin or superking, a large kitchen diner/lounge with log burner, lovely bathroom & downstairs cloakroom. No children. Private parking, Wi-fi, and a warm welcome. We love living here, come and see why. The space This semi detached cottage is on the edge of Bewl Water where there are some wonderful walks and wildlife. Bewl also offers fishing, cycling and other seasonal activities (please see their website for availability and bookings). Bedgebury Pinetum for hiking and cycling and Dale Hill for golf are within 3 miles. The villages of Ticehurst and Wadhurst are a short drive away and offer shops, pubs, cafes and there are two farm shops in nearby Hurst Green for local produce. There is a Tesco, a Waitrose, a pharmacy and a Kino Cinema in Hawkhurst, about 6 miles away. Scotney Castle and Bodiam Castle are within a short drive. A little further are the attractions of Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Rye, Sissinghurst and Tenterden. Tulip Cottage is arranged over two floors with a downstairs cloakroom (with washer drier) as well as an upstairs bathroom. There is Wifi throughout the cottage although the countryside setting will have you switching off and relaxing straight away. The cottage is pet free so sorry no pets allowed and the cottage is not suitable for children and babies due to the waterside setting. There is free off road parking and the cottage has it's own private entrance. The front door opens into a tiled hallway with plenty of space to hang your hats, coats and to store your shoes. Leading off the hallway there is a very handy downstairs cloakroom with a toilet, sink, washing machine and useful laundry items. Leading off the hallway is the charming, beamed ground floor living area which comprises a large kitchen diner / lounge with a log burner. We supply the first basket of logs and any extra will incur a charge of £5 per basket. There is also underfloor heating downstairs and central heating radiators upstairs. The second floor has two bedrooms and an upstairs bathroom. Bedroom one is large and has a very comfortable, superking bed and views over Bewl Water. Bedroom two has a zip link bed which, on request, can be two singles or one superking sized bed. Next to the bedrooms there is a delightful bathroom with shower over bath. We love living here, come and see why…. Guest access The cottage is a self contained annexe of the main farmhouse. Guests are welcome to explore the main garden but you will have a garden of your own and a patio area for your own use. In the summer months the owner will be working in the vegetable garden. A footpath leads from the cottage to a scenic walk around Bewl Water. Other things to note The house is fitted with exterior security cameras and security lights.
