Experience a wonderful relaxing vacation in and around this characteristic house between the Morvan and the Bazois, where you can hike, bike, swim, or just do nothing and enjoy the peace and quiet. Return to rural life in the countryside where time sometimes seems to stand still even though you have all the modern comforts. Visit the picturesque villages and towns, the many castles and beautiful lakes. Breathe in the pure air and discover the sparkling starry sky. The space You enter the house in the kitchen where you can sit around the table with 6 people. Here is the refrigerator with freezer, an electric oven and a counter. This is heated with a wood stove. Next to this is the spacious bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet, as well as the equipped kitchen with dishwasher (small model) and washing machine. From here, you walk into the garden. These rooms are both electrically heated. Furthermore, you will find the salon with bookcase, board games, satellite TV, wood stove, etc. (from September 15 to May 15, we charge €10 per night for firewood, this is included in the basic price). There is also a bedroom on this ground floor that we can open after consultation for people who are a little more difficult to walk (box spring of 140x200). The staircase leads to the upper floor where there is a separate toilet. On the left, you enter a very spacious bedroom with a queen size bed (160x200). Here, after consultation, 2 extra single beds can be added. There is a fixed air conditioner, a ceiling fan and a standing fan for the warm nights. On the other side is the other bedroom, also here a bed of 160x200, a ceiling fan and a standing fan. There is also a mobile air conditioner. In our garden of over 1500m2, there is a wooden swimming pool with a large raised wooden terrace, all for you alone (note: only to be used from June 15 to September 15). Here you can enjoy the last virtuous rays of the sun every evening until the beautiful sunset, after which a clear, immeasurable starry sky reveals itself. A warm outdoor shower is at your disposal as well as a spacious parking lot. There is also a covered terrace at the back of the house where you can sit outside even in rainy weather. There is a BBQ and outdoor sink and an extra refrigerator. You can also play darts here. There are several seating and/or dining areas or terraces provided in the garden, in the shade of the orchard or in the sun. Or you can have fun on the jeu de boules court and, if necessary, warm up by the fire bowl. Other things to note Activities: In July and August, on Wednesday afternoon, an interesting walk/degustation/exhibition is organized from La maison forte de Cuy, our neighbors. In 15 minutes by car, you are at the lovely Canal de Nivernais, where you can enjoy cycling (also bike rental in Chatillon and Bazois at Hello Velo). You can cycle to the lake of Baye and Vaux, where all kinds of water activities are organized in July and August. Here you can take the road to the 16 locks in Sardy, very beautiful! Or rent a boat to sail in the Colancelles. The beautiful and quiet Lac de Pannecière is 20 minutes away by car. There are beautiful, quiet places to relax, swim, pedal boats, fish or picnic (beyond Ile de Blaisy are beaches that we prefer). For history and culture, the cities of Nevers, Autun, Vézelay, Clamecy and Bazoches are 1 hour away by car. Authentic villages nearby are Moulins Engelbert, St Honoré les Bains, Decize, Corbigny, Chatillon and Bazois with its pleasure harbor, Chateau Chinon with its museums. Discover the castles of Bazoches, Marcilly, Chastellux, Guédelon, Bussy -Rabotin, Chitry les Mines, Villemoullin (many by appointment). One of the highlights can be found in Bribacte with its Gallo-Roman site and museum, on the Mont Beuvray and the Haut Folin. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking and rafting on the Cure, horseback riding in Alluy, fishing, quad biking, and mountain biking. All water sports on Lac de Settons! Don't forget to visit one of the many vide greniers or flea markets to soak up the local atmosphere. There are also wine tastings (ask for them in the Office de Tourisme). Finally, pets are allowed after consultation as our garden is not fully fenced. Please note, a car is necessary to do groceries (Chateau-Chinon 16 km or Chatillon-en-Bazois 11 km)
