Description

A secluded forest stay on the South Downs Way, welcome to Tiny Pots Woodland Retreat Situated at the halfway point along the infamous South Downs Way, Tiny Pots Woodland Retreat is quiet and secluded. Created to celebrate the simple, beautiful things; log off, lift your mood and flood your senses with the forest. In the shade of the trees, we invite you to take a digital detox. Connect with nature and with one another. The space Tiny Pots is a unique space, built with reclaimed materials, free from concrete. The exterior was crafted from a repurposed oak boat shed, and many items, including our front door, were salvaged. Our cabin's foundation was made using ground screws, telegraph poles and steel beams to ensure minimal environmental impact. 90 minutes from London and less than 30 minutes from Brighton. Tiny Pots is almost completely hidden in the shade of the trees with views of the South Downs National Park, the floor to ceiling glass invites the outside in. A secluded location, you can expect only to hear squirrels gathering fallen conkers or horses in the nearby fields. There is a comfy king bed, raised up to take in the views of the rolling hills. We have a full kitchen, a waterfall shower and blackout curtains and blinds for blissful sleep. Our spacious and private deck is not the place for sun worshippers, it was purpose built for stargazing and forest bathing, with a barbecue for al fresco dining. Tiny Pots boasts an outdoor fire pit for late night deep and meaningful connections, as well as a separate meditation room and outside cold water therapy shower. Tiny Pots was named for its parent property; Tin Pots, but there’s nothing small to be found in the big way this space is curated. Restore, Relax, Retreat. — @tinypotswoodlandretreat Other things to note 1 night stays are sometimes available, please request. We love to host pets, please let us know how many furry friends you are bringing so we can ensure there's enough biscuits to go around - pet stays are chargeable. We are part of the South Downs National Park, a dark skies reserve. We're really grateful to be a part of an International Dark Skies Reserve (IDSR), and it informed the decision for us to not install any invasive path lights. Instead we provide a weather proof torch next to the key lock box. This is rechargeable, the cable can be found at the end of the bed. Please return the torch and charger where you found them. Our gas grill BBQ is another item that was gifted to us second hand, and it has been well used. Feel free to cook on the BBQ, but it must be left clean. Tools and cleaning supplies are under the sink. It is a gas grill, there are matches and lighters in the kitchen drawer closest to the fridge if the ignition is not working well. Tiny Pots is heated with an electric oil radiator, which keeps it nice and cosy. We ensure a powerful plug-in blow heater & 14 tog feather duvet are in place during the winter months. Outdoor fire logs can be purchased from in Steyning. You may not use any logs from the woodland, or any other you see at our property or the main Tin Pots property. House manual, local area guide & directions will be provided after booking. Tiny Pots has a composting toilet. Free and secure parking. Due to the nature of Tiny Pots, there are inherent slip and trip risks. Please note there are steps into the porch, the main studio and up to the bed which is on a raised platform. The deck is very slippery in the rain. For these reasons Tiny Pots is not suitable for infants. Check in and check out times are designed with pre arranged changeovers, if you need different times give as much notice as possible and we will try to accommodate you. Guest access Tiny Pots Woodland Retreat is a secluded and private area of the Tin Pots property, please respect the property owners by staying within the boundaries of Tiny Pots Woodland Retreat (which includes the woodland area wherein the main Tiny Pots Woodland Retreat, Meditation Room and Fire Pit are all located).
