Designed and built on the farm, Over The River combines a back-to-nature, outdoor experience with all of the comforts of a boutique hotel just five miles from historic Exeter. The space The hut has two rooms, both of which open through glazed double doors onto the deck and enjoy beautiful and far-reaching views over the valley to the river below. The kitchen area contains everything you should need to create or prepare delicious meals, including a fridge, oven and induction hobs. There is plenty of tea and coffee plus a jar of homemade granola and fresh local milk in the fridge. When it's time to relax, light the wood burner and curl up on the sofa while watching the ever-changing landscape beyond. The bedroom has been thoughtfully designed to offer a serene and peaceful space. With a king-size bed, soft cotton sheets and sumptuous bathrobes, your comfort has not been compromised by small space living. In the warmer months, throw open the doors and listen to the birdsong with a cup of tea in bed. You will find useful storage baskets under the bed and coat hooks on the door but a soft suitcase is advised as storage is limited. Beyond the bedroom is a small but perfectly formed shower room/WC complete with a rainforest shower, luxury toiletries and soft towels. Step outside onto the English larch deck to find a large outdoor bath. Make use of the bath salts and enjoy a rejuvenating soak after a long walk. At the other end of the deck, a breakfast bar overlooks the field where the farm's organic cattle can often be seen grazing with a stretch of sunflowers or wildflowers beyond. Steps lead down from the deck to a fire pit area for toasting marshmallows or keeping warm and making the most of being outside.
