INSECTS and BUGS You should be aware that even the cleanest and most well-maintained houses can suddenly become inhabited by ants, lizards, geckos, spiders, frogs, and other tropical animals. Geckoes come in various sizes however, it's not dangerous. They usually appear on the walls and ceilings and can spend hours there. There is a good chance that you'll find traces of the lizards or geckos (dust, small lumps of earth, waste products) on the floors, tables, and chairs.
