The origin of the FONTE SANTA house has been lost over the centuries... the oldest records date back to 1875, when it became the home of the illustrious Judge Counselor Veloso da Cruz, the first general administrator of the District of Porto and later president of the City Council of Gaia for six terms! ​Recently, major improvement works carried out by its descendants gave rise to Fonte Santa - Casa Senhorial, a guest house with history, ideal for anyone interested in visiting two of Europe's oldest cities in peace.
