An iconic Moosehead Lake property with 500 feet of private waterfront, situated on 8 acres and possibly the best view of Mount Kineo. The opportunities to enjoy this home during all seasons are endless. From boating and swimming in the summer, beautiful foilage in the fall, to fishing and snowmobiling in the winter and spring. Some of the best fishing on the lake is off of our shoreline. ITS 86 runs directly in front of the house. Access to dock, mooring included. Ample parking. The space The main part of the house is a 1930s log cabin that was moved many years ago from Kineo to this property. Additions were added such as a basement, porch, the primary bedroom and dining area. There is a large garage on the property that is not for guest use but the outdoor area can be used for additional trailer and vehicle parking. Inside, there are three total floors. The 1st floor includes the kitchen, dining room, living room, porch, bathroom, and primary bedroom. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, twin bed, access to the deck and a private bathroom. Floating stairs lead to the second floor where you will find an enclosed loft with a queen bed and two twin beds. The enclosed porch has a full size futon. There is a spiral staircase that leads down to the basement. There are three finished sleeping quarters in the basement. The first and second bedrooms downstairs has a queen bed each. The third bedroom has 3 twin bunk beds (6 beds total). There is a lot of space in the basement for gear (fishing, snowmobiling, lake gear etc). Outside you’ll find plenty of parking for cars, snowmobile trailers, boat trailers and equipment. In the winter, you can access the lake by foot and snowmobile from our shoreline. In the summer, you can put your boat in at the town landing (less than one mile away) and tie up to our private dock and moorings. We have a steep rocky shoreline, no beach. You can access the water from the dock or via the shoreline. We have one kayak (one person) on the property. We have a fire pit with 4 Adirondack chairs. There is a propane gas grill as well. Propane and firewood not included. The house has a generator that will automatically kick on in the event of a power outage. We also have wifi. There is one tv in the living room equipped with Roku. From our property: Moosehead Marina - less than 2 miles Rockwood boat landing - less than one mile Rockwood Bar and Grill/convenience store - less than one mile Indian Hill Trading Post/Grocery (Greenville Maine) - 20 miles The Birches - less than 4 miles PLEASE READ: As listed above and indicated in pictures, this property has a lot of steps/stairs to the sleeping quarters. Access to the basement is via a spiral staircase. Access to the upstairs bedroom is via a floating staircase. The shoreline is steep. You can access the lake via the shoreline foot and snowmobile. Lake levels and weather conditions can impact the ease of getting up and down the shoreline from our property. Guest access The only parts not available for guest use are the garage and the boat on the boat lift. The dock and mooring can be used to tie up boats etc. The outdoor area of the garage can be used for overflow parking, trailer parking.
