Description
Enjoy the glorious unobstructed view of the southwest façade of Mt. Kanlaon and experience the wonders of having your private waterfalls at Doméino Dome Suites. Our unique glamping domes are perched 200 steps above Mandayao Waterfall's gorge, and rests 7km below the peak of a 2465 meter active volcano, right at the heart of Negros Island. Glamp in our hacienda surrounded by sugarcane fields and lush greenery, 72km away from the capital city of Bacolod. The space We are a self-check-in glamping accommodation. With limited staff interaction, we encourage our guests to unwind and connect with nature, embracing the simplicity of what our property has to offer. Doméino welcomes those unafraid of getting their feet wet in a rural setting and openly immersing themselves in the quirks of glamping. It involves integrating with nature and experiencing the rough edges of what is otherwise found in a typical hotel. The design of our Nordic Dome is linear, sober, and muted following in line with the minimalist canon. Its colors span between cool tones, soft grays, and the ranges of white along with soft brown accents found in wood to induce a sense of nature, at the same time leaving a lot of open spaces for natural light to dominate. Guest access Guests can freely use all of the common spaces besides the dome's private patio such as the swimming pool, the bar, the poolside lounge, the firepit, the outdoor kitchen, and the grill. Doméino is part of a 55-hactare private hacienda that mainly cultivates sugarcane. Part of the property is the Mandayao Waterfalls where you have free access when you book with us. 700 meters away from Doméino is the Leaf Garden, a project by La Castellana’s local government unit and surrounding barangays that feature miniature gardens for you to take photos with a view of the volcano. 750 meters from Doméino is the Mandayo Cross, a 40-meter cross that has become a pilgrimage site with a breathtaking 360-degree view of the landscape, with Mt. Kanlaon on one side and Guimaras Strait on the other. At the foot of the giant cross is the highest point of the hacienda where you can stand and witness spectacular sunsets. During your stay Doméino is managed by an online social media manager who will be relaying the messages back and forth between guests and the property’s management. Onsite, there will be a staff who can assist you in cases of emergencies. The staff will also be the one to provide you if you wish to purchase other basic needs such as charcoal, firewood, butane, bottled water, etc. Other things to note Before your stay, we'd like to kindly remind you that Doméino is a glamping accommodation, NOT a traditional hotel resort. We are providing a venue for guests to have a memorable glamping experience, offering a step above the rough conditions of camping, but still expect our guests to be mindful of their expectations. This unique experience offers a chance to immerse yourself of staying at a farm on the foot of an active volcano, and we ask that you be open to the rustic charms that come with it. This may include occasional smell of sulfur, thunderstorms, extreme winds, foggy days, the presence of insects and reptiles, and the sounds of working farmers during harvest season. A small community of local farmers live around Doméino, but mostly keep to themselves. Don't forget to smile at the friendly villagers. Please note we do not have a restaurant in the property. Kindly bring your food to cook. Outdoor kitchen is available for use. We do not charge corkage.
