The Storybook Church

A chance to sleep in church! This historic structure was built in 1878 with the intention of gathering people together in a beautiful space. That intention has not changed. Bring your family or friends. Bring your crafting ideas and set up for creating. The space Is versatile. Let us know your dream and we will do our best to manifest that possibility. Equally as charming for a romantic getaway. You will feel the stillness of the sanctuary or fill it with music and laughter! The space The open concept sanctuary is set up with a multifaceted approach to your needs. A small kitchenette is set up with sink, microwave, fridge, an oak table for 8 and vintage dishes to warm your heart. There are several seating areas to gather around the Jotul, cozy gas stove or around the baby grand piano. A king bed, beneath tall stained glass windows will reflect Their colors across the white spread In the daylight. On the main level there is a full bathroom, shower, tub and towels . The choir loft, up the spiral staircase, has a full sized bed in an intimate space. Also an antique 3/4 bed is available in the sanctuary . The lower level is an open concept space which hosts 6 additional twin dormitory-style beds, a full kitchen, a large inviting dining table than can seat 13 a cozy reading space, paints and canvases to add To our art on the walls if you like or to take home. There are two bathrooms downstairs one with a shower. Also, the lower level has a back door for easier access to the fire pit and outdoor tables and a rural pastoral view. You are invited, upon texting for a time, to come directly around the block to a beautiful wetland walk along the Rocky River and confluence of the flowerfield creek . As the water levels shift so can the boardwalk, so well worth the effort, but may require some hardiness depending on the weather . Weathered kayaks available. The river may have fallen trees or low Water levels making it difficult but floating in the wide open space is lovely! Guest access Guests are free to use the entire church space as well as the yard. The garage is private storage space Other things to note No smoking on the property. The church is in a well established Neighborhood of long term residents With a public school on the same block . Inside the church it feels Like you are a world away from traffic and noise except for the beautiful toot of a passing train from a distance.
