Private Walk-Out Basement Suite

Updated in 2024, this walk-out basement private bedroom suite includes a private entrance, bedroom, bathroom, desk and chair, sleeper chair, and outdoor sitting area. Located 2 minutes from the Cold Spring train station and just a couple blocks from Main Street. Short walk to hiking trails. Use of back yard patio, garden, and fire pit (upon request) included. Mini-fridge and Keurig included. This suite is only rented out when the owners are traveling, so there is no overhead noise. The space To access the room you have to walk down a short but somewhat steep driveway and then follow the sidewalk along the south/right side of the house. The entrance to the private bedroom suite is on the back of the house. Guests are welcome to enjoy the entirety of the backyard gardens, including flower and strawberry gardens, seating area, (and fire pit upon request). WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SPACE IF YOU ARE A LIGHT SLEEPER. This bedroom suite directly faces a train line that you can hear when it passes by. Otherwise, guests find our home, and the area in general, very peaceful. Guest access This space contains a bedroom with queen bed, desk, comfortable sitting chair, and a full bathroom. There is a fully stocked Keurig coffee maker and a mini fridge. Guests have access to the backyard gardens and patio furniture (and fire pit upon request). The sleeper chair can pull out and convert to a small bed which is great for families traveling with one child. Other things to note If you are a very light sleeper or looking for complete peace and quiet this is probably not the space for you. While most guests find our home very peaceful, the peace is periodically punctured by passing trains that run 20+ hours/day.
