Sandy River Chalet

Welcome to the Sandy River Chalet. Located within the Huron National Forest, this is a two-bedroom/one- bathroom cabin. The cabin sits on 1.5 acres, of which a third is wooded. This cabin is a comfortable camp for fishing and hunting enthusiasts. Canoe/Kayak rentals are available from several businesses in the area. Other outdoor activities include hiking, biking, ATV and boating/fishing at one of the local lakes or the Mio Pond. Please enjoy to the fullest but be respectful to the property. Other things to note PLEASE READ DISCLOSURES: Opening/Closing Instructions are on the Fridge, please read carefully. Bunk-beds - It takes a young or fit person to put the sheets on the top bunks. We cannot do it, so the sheets and pillows will be sitting on the top bunks. Please keep this in mind before renting. ATV Trails - We have not explored the trials that pass by the property. Bugs - There are a lot of bugs in the woods. Some get in the house. Fires - Please keep fires moderate for the safety of the people and the woods. 4/5 logs provide a nice fire. Cameras - There is one camera outside for security. It is in plain site. Water - The cabin uses an 80-year-old well. The flow is acceptable, but if multiple people are using water, there is a noticeable drop in pressure. That said, there is plenty of hot water for showers. Game Room - The game room is big, games are available. The ceiling in part of the game room is just over 6 feet high.
