House on the Dam / Bristol

Stay at this historic 1800's property with modern conveniences located on the Pemaquid River adjacent to the Bristol Mills swimming hole and dam, offering wonderful waterfront and farmland views. A small wooden bridge connects you to the property from the main road. The riverfront connects to Biscay pond and to the swimming hole, feel free to take one of the provided canoes up the river. In May and June, one can observe the Alewives running up the fish ladder right in front of the house. The space We have 2 heat pump ductless AC units that are in both upstairs bedrooms. We don't have AC on the first floor or in the first floor bedroom. Guest access We have a keypad door lock code for the front door which will be shared with you on check in day. Other things to note There are two flights of stairs to access the second floor. The stairs on the north side of the house access the north upstairs bedroom and the stairs on the south side of the house access the south upstairs bedroom. Both upstairs bedrooms have access to the full upstairs bathroom that has a tub shower. Both sets of stairs are narrow, steep, and have a turn which includes pie shaped steps and should be navigated carefully. They are well lit and have handrails but are not carpeted.
