In the heart of the historic center of a small village in southern Puglia (Salento), just 3.5 km from the sea of Marina di Andrano, 6 km from the renowned, beautiful and ancient citadel on the sea of Castro Marina, is this beautiful house with a small swimming pool with a whirlpool and a large surrounding garden, with a typically Mediterranean flavor but with an unmistakably international style. The space Located at the back of the small church of Sant'Andrea Apostolo, Casa Galata is characterized by a large and enchanting garden that, probably once, was partly a cloister of a small monastery attached to it or more simply the rectory of the parish priest of the church. This is suggested by the presence of meditative walkways, bordered by rows of columns that frame the garden and that conclude their path in front of the beautiful votive aedicule depicting the Virgin Mary as if to protect it. A careful philological restoration has been able to maintain the architectural characteristics of the ancient buildings typical of the area, such as the beautiful lime walls and the large vaulted ceilings, while the comfort, furniture and décor are absolutely contemporary, very refined and of great charm. The house is spread across one level and overlooks mainly the appurtenant garden. It has 3 autonomous and independent entrances from the 2 alleys that delimit and serve the property. The exterior is divided into 2 communicating portions. A convivial area with a hydromassage pool, sunbathing area with sun loungers, outdoor shower, bathroom, dining table for 6 people, outdoor kitchen equipped with a sink, electric BBQ and induction hob, where you can spend afternoons relaxing, sipping aperitifs and then pleasantly dining in the cool; and a side area, mirrored with a lush, very shady garden and lawn, set up as a relaxation corner with sofas and outdoor armchairs. The interior of the house is accessed through French doors from the courtyard/garden. You immediately enter a living room area with sofas and armchairs. This serves as a hub for dividing the surrounding rooms. In fact, on the left, separated almost ideally only by a low cabinet, there is the large, very well-equipped kitchen with a dining table for 8 seats, next to a small bathroom with a laundry corner, while on the right there is access to the 2 large double bedrooms with an ensuite bathroom/shower: The first of these, a little smaller, also has an independent access with a French window in front of the outdoor area - pool/dining room - while the other larger bedroom also includes a small anteroom with a 1.5 square sofa bed but divided from the bedroom only by a low cabinet, therefore open above. From here you can access the bathroom/shower and on the other side, through a French window also to a small courtyard of exclusive relevance that also allows further, autonomous and independent access from the alley at the back of the church.
