Description
Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Lots of lovely walks from the doorstep, and a 10 minute drive from the beautiful historic village of Mayfield, where you can find local shops with local produce. We are close to several National Trust properties, there are some excellent sparkling wine producers within a 15-45 minute drive, and it’s only 45 minutes to the coast. The Cuckoo Trail starts in nearby Heathfield, and there is plenty of entertainment for small children in the local area. The space The property is an old farmhouse built in 1700, with low ceilings (so you need to mind your head!), small steps in between some rooms, and quite a steep staircase. There is an Aga for cooking which is extremely hot to the touch and therefore small children should not be allowed into the kitchen unsupervised. All original features in the cottage have been preserved. There is a king sized double room, a double room, a super king/twin room and a bunk room (2x singles). There is also one bathroom with bath, one shower room, a living room, kitchen, snug and dining room. There is a small paved patio and herb garden as shown in the photos. Smoking is not permitted inside the property. Towels are provided. Other things to note It is a non- smoking property. Please only smoke outside, and dispose of any cigarette butts in the bin.
