Peaceful Cottage - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms
Our comfortable and quiet guest cottage is set among Ponderosa pines in the Sierra Nevada foothills, close to more than 40 Shenandoah Valley wineries. Post-Covid, hosted vineyard tours and private wine tastings will be available. The pool is private to our guests and usually open after Memorial Day. The Cottage easily accommodates 2 couples in two bedrooms, each with private bathroom. The deck is accessed from all rooms. It's great for outside dining or just enjoying a glass of wine. The larger bedroom has twin beds that make up into a king bed, a walk-in closet, and bathroom with tub and shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and bathroom with shower. The kitchen & dining space are fully equipped. Wi-Fi communications is included as is central heating/AC, wood-burning stove, alarms and hardwood floors. A NEMA 14-50 outlet is available for EV charging for $15/night. Guests are welcome to stroll around the property to visit cows or horses in the pastures or pick fruit off the orchard trees. A walk across the pasture, past the fire pit, leads to great hikes on country roads and woods. Arrangements, at time of reservation, may be made for use of the swimming pool. Excellent restaurants are found in nearby Plymouth and Sutter Creek. The Kirkwood Ski Resort is a one hour drive. We greet all guests regardless of arrival time and help them get situated. The Cottage will be set up with juice, coffee, tea and basic breakfast items. Our property is in a wooded rural area easily accessible by private vehicle. You will have lovely views of rolling hills and high country mountains. The Fiddletown Winegrape appellation is known for old higher-level Zinfandel vineyards, one of which is our neighbor. Other adjacent neighbors are small horse ranches. Our pasture and adjacent pastures have cows of all sizes much of the year. Amador County is quite rural with some bus service. A car is needed. Lots of parking wherever you go. We have a NEMA 14-50 Socket for EV's. The free Fiddletown Fiddler's Jam, a colorful annual event is held in 3rd weekend September.
