Beautiful Riverside Cottage.

Our Cottage is on a quiet lane near a busy village located on the banks of the Rumney River. Lots to do including cycling, running, great walks and of course fishing! Caerphilly offers our beautiful castle many restaurants and pubs. For fisherman there is a guided service for the local rivers available on request for a fee. We allow 1 dog to stay. The space Welcome to Porset Farm Cottage. We wanted to test our feet in Holiday Accommodation. We have put our heart and sole in creating a property that ticks all the boxes for short term vacations. If required, we can also be on hand to talk through local walks and cycling routes. There are just so many places to see and do in Caerphilly and surrounding areas. We would be happy to discuss these with you. Also being a family with pets, we would welcome you to bring yours. However, please don’t let them on the beds 😉 When you enter the property there is a small porch. This leads into the living room where there is an Amazon Alexa and a smart TV. The room also as a electric vintage log effect fire. There is a master bedroom with double bed and chest of drawers. There is a hairdryer available. There is a second bedroom with a trundle bed (2 singles) that can be made into a double bed on request. In the second bedroom there are large built in wardrobe. There is an Iron/Ironing Board in the wardrobe and also a hoover should you need it. In the bathroom there is a bath and shower cubicle. All bedding and towels are supplied. The Kitchen and Dining Room (conservatory) have all that you need to prepare a meal. There is an oven, Microwave, American fridge freezer and lots of crockery and pans for those culinary delights! There is also a slow cooker should you wish to use and plan ahead. Your dog is very welcome but please do not leave them on their own in the cottage. Should you need them there are dog treats, poo bags and dog towel under the sink! There is a backyard with a fire pit and coal should you wish to use to BBQ. There is also some outside furniture. Guest access There is a parking space to the side of the property. Also should you have a 2nd car then you are able to park on the roadside. We also have an EV charger installed for an electric vehicle. Other things to note Should you wish to get to Cardiff then it is a short drive over the mountain of 30 minutes (9.1 miles) You can also get to Cardiff via the train and bus station which is at the top of Caerphilly Town Centre ( 15-20 minute walk). The train ride to Cardiff is about approximately 15 mins and there is a regular service. There is a big Tesco within walking distance (5-10mins) and an Aldi.
