Our quintessential Conch cottage is in Old Town proper, in walking distance of Duval St., art galleries, restaurants, bars and beaches. You’ll love our remodeled 100+ year old cottage with original details, open floor plan, high ceilings, reclaimed wood floors and big back yard with a hot tub and grill perfect for morning coffee, evening margaritas, grilling and dogs. Other things to note Our Cottage is in a convenient part of Old Town, within walking/biking distance of Duval Street but removed from the heaviest traffic and noise around Duval. Walk to several great restaurants within 4 blocks, a mini market within 2, Fausto’s grocery store within 4, and several galleries and small shops within a few blocks. The marina is a few blocks away and White Street pier/beach is about a mile away in the other direction, as is the southernmost point (we’re on Mile Marker 1). The efficient open floor plan makes the Cottage feel much larger than it is, as do the 9 ½ foot ceilings in the front rooms. The living area is pet-, kid- and adult-friendly with comfortable, slipcovered furniture and a 55 inch smart TV with satellite and NetFlix. The television in the front bedroom comes with a Roku stick. The dining area seats six. Both bedrooms have good size closets and are comfortably outfitted with luxury 500 thread count 100% cotton sheets, also duvets and blankets for the couple of cold nights we get in the winter. Hangers, an iron and ironing board are provided. For you digital nomads, there is also a dedicated work area in the front bedroom and strong wifi throughout the Cottage. The kitchen is well equipped with a refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range and microwave as well as a coffee maker, toaster and blender (for Margaritas, of course). There are plenty of pots, pans, bowls, a baking sheet, dishes, glasses, silverware, barbecue utensils, etc., and a multitude of cleaning products for your use. The full-size washer and dryer are under cover on the back patio, a quirky set-up common in KW. The bathroom, with Kohler Purist fixtures, porthole mirror and large shower with pebble floor, is fully equipped with high-end towels, a hair dryer and shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap. One of the best features of our home is the fully fenced, pet-friendly back yard. Large by KW standards, it includes a big wooden deck just off the kitchen with a grill and outdoor dining and seating. On the lower level is a serene, tropical garden with one of our favorite features: a five-person hot (or cold) tub.
