Relax with the whole family in this secluded home in a peaceful, friendly village. This two-bedroom cottage is set across two floors. Downstairs is a spacious open-plan living/dining room with French doors leading to the private patio, equipped with charcoal barbecue and outdoor dining. The generous kitchen is modern and well-equipped with a separate utility room/toilet. Upstairs are the double and twin bedrooms sharing a luxurious bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. Just twenty minutes from Aberdeen Airport Stillwaters is perfectly situated for family or friends to enjoy a break away, whether looking for a secluded and peaceful retreat or more adventurous exploring. The village itself has a small post office and thrift shop that is open weekday mornings and is the hub of the village with coffee mornings and fundraisers and information on local activities. It’s also has a small shop with essentials .. and tasty cuts from the Kemnay butchers to get straight on the barbecue. There is a large children's playpark in the village itself for instant activities for all ages , including a zip slide and petanque game area. Straight from the doorstep you can enjoy forest walks to the river Don and its views of Monymusk House. There is also a fantastic restaurant serving homemade delights to sit in or take away and its renowned for its Sunday Roasts, they are not to be missed . Just 3 miles away is Kemnay where you will find supermarkets, farm shop, butchers and chemist. There is a wealth of attractions to explore in the area whether its walking, fishing, mountain biking, golfing or enjoying the numerous historic buildings and whisky trails. There is something for everyone. If you’re looking for a change of scene for your office ,this is a perfect spot with high speed WiFi, forest walks and a peaceful secluded garden. It has the perfect balance for being away from it all while still having the village on your doorstep. There is also a front garden that runs from parking area and next to pathway to house. There is a shared washing line in the larger garden area . The property sits as part of larger grounds surrounded by mature trees and with a small stream running through, it feels very secluded and peaceful whilst still having the village on your doorstep. There is no fencing dividing the various buildings on site , guests are welcome to explore however please bear in mind it is a working small holding and some areas are not suitable for unsupervised children. It’s a wildlife friendly garden with wilder sections for insect happy habitats .We are also learning how to grow fruit and veg in the glasshouse and if you would like any produce are happy to provide ( if available !) As it is a working homestead you may be witness to the mowing/ maintenance of the larger garden area .. and wheelbarrowing of timber deliveries. We will however try to keep this to absolute minimum while guests are present. Other things to note Central Heating and Hot water are supplied by an external solid fuel boiler. This is operated by the owner in a separate outbuilding, meaning that heating is supplied at set times twice a day but the hot water is constant. This is easily adapted for season/personal requirements and full details provided on arrival of the times and contact number for any requests. We appreciate this arrangement is a little different but it should not affect your stay in any way , please just bear in mind that any changes can’t always be instantaneous as it would be with central heating . It also means that you may be witness to some large timber deliveries and general wheelbarrowing (on the other side of the grounds from the house ) Registration Details AS-01080-F
