“Tinyhome” loft Highland Park, Los Angeles

… sleep in a loft double bed, while you smell the trees around you, wake up to a rain shower to start the day, or just gaze and ponder the day … Loft is small (250 sqft) perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. The cabin has its own deck with separate entrance. Please read more details in the “property” section. The space Dear Guest, This is a “tinyhomeloft” space for one person or a couple who does not need much space. The loft comes with access to a private yard with abundance of shade around. You can sleep either in the loft bed or comfortable pullout sofa. Kitchen is small, but has pretty much everything you need from a cooktop to a toaster oven. Bathroom has a “on-demand” hot water, rain shower and a sink with toilet just enough for one or two people - fresh cotton towels feels like you are in the cloud. This tiny home was built mostly by me and my daughter, we did all the tile work, moldings (you will definitely see crooked spaces) grouting, drywall installation (including mud and finish) paint, design and decorating. It is our labor of love we want you to enjoy - it is by no means perfect but you will feel the energy and the love it was built with. We definitely appreciate your feedback on how to improve and make this place a unique experience - we thank you for choosing us for your accommodation. We do short term (7 days) but prefer long term greater than 20+ days - please contact us should you have questions regarding discounts for long term stays. PS. I don’t charge you for cleaning. As it is my responsibility to clean and offer you a clean place - also if you stay longer than a month I offer free cleaning every month with fresh clean towels and bedding professionally cleaned and sanitized. Guest access Separate entrance with keyed entry Other things to note Loft is built on a hillside, need to walk up a short paved hillside driveway to the cabin. The cabin is rustic with modern comforts, with its own deck. The Cabin has no Airconditon but has a heater and a nice fan that circulates air. Temperature usually stay in low 70’s Kitchen has a cooktop, refrigerator, microwave and a toaster oven with basic cooking facilities to scramble eggs or to make spaghetti. The Vintage Secretariat desk and chair allows you to sit, ponder and pen a few lines of poetry or to create your next best seller. Words like tranquil, peaceful and serene come into my mind when I think about this space, we are almost in the middle of nowhere yet somewhere between the Northern canyon of Highland park that meets the Southern end of Eagle Rock. You will see Eagles soaring in the vast sky and hear the wild call of Coyotes maybe even an owl or two on a moonlit night. We are close to many Los Angeles “must see sights” from Huntington gardens to the Broad museum. Train station is about 1.5 miles nice brisk walk or a short Uber ride. We are adjacent to Rose Bowl, Pasadena and HighlandPark / Eagle Rock. You can also walk down the hill for a cold one and walk right up after few tacos from the famous “the York” in Highland Park. This is must “visit” if you are curious come stay and share the experience, we welcome artists, movie buffs, music gurus, even techies and regular adventure travelers seeking more ….
