Our Yurt is a unique luxury camping experience that reconnects people to the nature. Nestled in the Oak Ridges Moraine forest, our large yurt allows you to experience the sounds of nature & joys of camping with ease. Your experience includes a private yurt with camp fire, queen-sized bed & private latrine, hiking trails, community lounge (games, gazebo, BBQ) *Please Note: This villa is the closest in proximity to the common area & there are no shower facilities anywhere on villa property. The space The yurt is situated in the Oak Ridges Moraine forest, the world's largest permanently protected greenbelt. This mixed forest is home to a variety of wildlife including many threatened species of song birds, plants, and insects. The night comes alive with the howling calls of coyotes, snickering of foxes, and hooting of owls. Each villa is located in a private section within 15 acres of forest. The Fox Den sits in an opening of the forest which allows for easy access to our common area, "The Stomping Ground". This villa comes fully equipped with a queen sized bed, private fire pit, and private latrine with pump sink. Within the yurt you will find the comforts of home including soft linens, table and chairs, night stands and unique decorations. Each yurt is completely off the grid and fitted with solar lights and a solar pack, ensuring you have somewhere to charge your phone and a fan to keep cool on hot summer nights. Within your yurt you will also find board games, binoculars, a forest map and many field guides to help you discover and uncover some of the unique wildlife that calls the forest its home. Guests are provided with firewood to enjoy a private fire and welcomed with a canister of freshly prepared flavored water (using organic fruit, vegetables or herbs). Additional baskets of wood can be purchased onsite. Please do not bring your own wood, as fire wood from other regions can carry insects which are detrimental to our protected forest. As an off the grid experience, guests are expected to bring their own food, drinks, cooking utensils, plates, glasses and mugs, and anything else you may need during this glamping experience. Through a partnership with Graze & Gather, we are happy to offer various meal selections for pre-order. All options are sent out in a post-booking email. **Please note that the occupancy is 2 guests, 1 must be an adult (21+). If you do have children who wish to attend please be sure to add this information in your comments so we can better prepare for your stay. Guest access Check In: between 3pm-6pm as upon arrival you will be greeted by our experience coordinator and escorted you to your villa where you are able to park onsite. *Late check in must be pre-arranged as staff are not onsite after 6:00pm and the admissions office is closed. Due to the nature of the resort, those arriving after 6pm without notice may not get access to their villa and will not be refunded. It is imperative to pre-arrange late check in if you think you will need it.
