Kayak the Potomac River, hike nearby New Germany State Forest or ride the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad The space The Space: The private cheery & cozy bedroom is exclusive to you during your stay. It looks out to the street, side yard and driveway where it gets wonderful morning sun and is located on the main level of a ranch style home. Black out curtains are provided in case you prefer to sleep in a little, unless the rascally little squirrels decide to jump onto the roof from the massive oak trees and decide it's time to play tag above your room.! LOL The space also contains a full bed, small desk/table and chair, dresser, fun closet and small TV with Amazon FireStick. You will also be provided a Keurig coffee maker, mugs, tea, coffee, sugar, salt & paper, plates, bowls, wine opener and some basic utensils. There is also a mini fridge for you to keep some of your items cold in your room. The full bathroom, with shower and tub unit, is on the same main level diagonal from the bedroom and will be SHARED by the host (and/or other guests) during your visit. Other Info: I, or occasionally guests in my home, will occupy the other bedrooms but are invested to ensuring the comfort and privacy of our guests. We will interact as little or as much as you require for your comfort level and needs. Our home of three BR, LR, DR, kitchen, garage, finished basement & studio was built in 1970’s so it has some quirky little things that only aging homes can provide (squeaky floors in spots alert us when Santa is in the house delivering presents LOL) but it’s still quite a cozy experience and we love it all the same. Because this is our home, there may be occasions where we invite a friends to the property while you may be renting, but our guests will be expected to be equally considerate to your overall comfort. Guest access Guest access: Guests may use the following shared spaces - front porch and kitchen. Use of the kitchen is for "very light meal prep", microwave and food storage only. Please, no cooking. Also, no sharp knives on the counters or bar area, they look like butcher block but there are cutting boards available if you need for light prep. If you use the kitchen, please also clean up after yourself. There are a few steps in the sidewalk and a few more to enter the front door that is shared access. During your stay I am very people friendly, easy to talk to, and love meeting with guests. I’ll be available to assist or help you in any way I can, if needed; otherwise, I’ll try to give you the space and privacy you need while you are here. Text or call if that works better. You control the flow! Other things to note Check in is typically 3 p.m. unless arrangements are made ahead of time. We have some flexibility and can sometimes accommodate other pre-arranged times if needed. No check-ins after 9 p.m. If we are, for some reason, unavailable for check-in we have a keypad entry and will provide the code for your use or upon exit and re-entry.
