“Daisy” at Sky Blue Guest House, Stroud

5% discount for 2 nights + Daisy is a light and airy double room with a lovely view. The room is furnished with a comfortable new bed and plenty of drawers and hanging space. It is equipped with a kettle and a selection of drinks sachets. The bathroom may be shared with other guests if any are staying, and very occasionally the owner. Daisy is in a home situated in a quiet location while still fairly close to Stroud town. There is a good bus route nearby. The space The house is in a quiet residential area. It's on a good bus route to the town and there are plenty of places to eat in Stroud, including our nearest pub which is in walking distance providing you are ok with an uphill walk home :) The house has recently been extended and renovated and is furnished with a mixture of family heirlooms, artwork by me and others and comfortable beds. I have a hot tub for my own personal use. You have access to this but you will need to sign a disclaimer as it will not be emptied between use by different people. If you would like to use the hot tub please bring your own swimming towels (and a costume!) Please also let me know in advance if there is a particular time you would like to use it so I can make sure it's available for you. A plastic bag is useful to take home damp swimwear. There is a Little Landing Library with books, magazines and a couple of games you can borrow during your stay. Please also ask if you would like to see my artwork (jewellery, textiles and greetings cards) in my small gallery. Stroud is a lovely town with an award-winning Farmers Market every Saturday, which is well worth a visit. There are many festivals held here throughout the year, such as Food and Drink and Fringe festivals. Arts and Crafts have been a part of Stroud's history for centuries and these days there are always plenty of exhibitions in the area, together with a large variety of Arts and Crafts courses. Daisy is an ideal spot to stay, whether you are here for a course, for work, to visit friends & family or just for a holiday. If you are travelling with friends or family, please note that I have three rooms to rent in total: "Daisy", this double room with a workspace, "Rose", a double room with no workspace but Sky TV and "Lavender", a small single room which can be booked with either of the double rooms though not on its own. Please ask about "Lavender" when you book and I can send you details as there will be a reduction in price if you book the two rooms together. Guest access Access is through the front door with a small step. If you have slight mobility issues there is a lift to the first floor which you are welcome to use after discussion with the owner but the house is not suitable for permanent wheelchair users. During your stay you will have shared access upstairs to the bathroom and downstairs to the WC, kitchen and sunroom. Please make sure you read the house rules section of the listing for full details regarding kitchen/shared areas. Thank you. However, please note that I have long covid and will be resting/sleeping longer hours than you might expect. Your consideration is therefore appreciated! I enjoy meeting people and can talk for England but also need my own space, so I will follow your lead on how much socialising we do. Other things to note If you have a particular time you would like to use the hot tub, notify me in advance and I will try to make sure it is free at that time.
