Just 20 minutes from Launceston airport and 10 minutes to the city, Gorge and more. You are well placed to explore the Meander Valley and Tasmania beyond. Luxury meets history with everything you need for a comfortable stress free stay. The space The cottage is made up of 4 bedrooms, 2 with queen beds, one with a queen and a single and the fourth has 3 standard single beds - all adorned with luxurious 1300 thread count sheets to ensure a restful sleep. There are two lounge rooms - with books and games for your use. A separate dining room, two bathrooms, kitchen and two outdoor entertaining areas. One is under cover while the second larger outdoor area houses our 10 person cedar hot tub and locally made pizza oven. We are ideally located to explore the North and North West of Tasmania. A short 10 minute drive to Launceston and under 2 hours to Cradle Mountain with many lovely stops along the way. If you would like help with an itinerary or recommendations of places to visit during your stay we are happy to help. We have provided all the essentials for a comfortable stay. You will find the kitchen equipped with a coffee machine, tea and coffee supplies, spices and pantry staples, however the cottage is only a short 5 minute drive to Hadspen or 10 minutes to Westbury to access local supermarkets should you require additional supplies for your stay. The local service station, a two minute walk, also provides basics such as milk, bread, take away hot food and some grocery options. The Saddlers Cottage once housed an extensive fruit orchard and still today we have a vegetable garden and fruit orchard. Dependent on the time of year we encourage you to make use of the produce available and get creative in our well appointed cooks kitchen to create a gourmet experience. The Saddlers Cottage is part of a wider story and we encourage you to take an historical walk around our beautiful village of Carrick - Maps are provided. Please note all bed linen, towels and additional towels for the hot tub are provided for your stay. Unlimited firewood is also provided for the hot tub, indoor fireplace and backyard fire pit. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole house, outdoor entertaining areas, gardens and orchard. The only areas not included in your stay are the storage sheds. Other things to note Additional services available - Continental Breakfast provisions - If you are traveling without transport or just want to make mornings easier we can provide continental breakfast provisions for you and your party. Provisions include, musli, cereal, yoghurt, milk, juice, bread, spreads, freah seasonal fruit (these items can be catered to your dietary needs) please let us know if you would like breakfast provisions for your stay, the cost is $15 per person per day you require breakfast. Gourmet breakfast provisions - For a more elevated DIY breakfast experience we can arrange to have gourmet breakfast provisions for your stay. These include all the regular continental options with the addition of eggs, bacon, pancake mix and maple syrup. This option is $25 per person per day you require breakfast. Chair hire - we have 20 folding white outdoor chairs available for hire. If you are planning a long table lunch or a small elopement in the gardens please speak to us about hiring these chairs. The cost is $5 per chair for the duration of your stay. Marquee hire - a white marquee measuring 8m by 4m is available. To ensure you are prepared for any weather for your small event in the garden we can arrange the marquee to be delivered, set up and packed down after your stay for an additional cost of $600 for the duration of your stay.
