Foreign students welcome. We have a second floor room with shared bathroom located close to Cal State University Fullerton and Hope International University. Our location is perfect for graduate students with classes in Brea/Placentia/Yorba Linda or Fullerton. Because the home is family occupied, we are looking for adult female students studying in our area. Stays will be approved by owner prior to booking. It is very important that personal habits are in-line with the family. 2 Guinea Pigs. The space We do not mind light cooking where we can coordinate schedules, but please do not cook after 9:30 pm. We are sensitive to cooking odors, and what might be normal for you, might not be normal for us. Use the hood vent when cooking and remember to shut it when you are done. To combat trash odors, we use separate small gallon bags for food trash to be place during cooking and after meals before you place your dish in the sink or dishwasher. At the end of the day we carry the food trash out to the main bins, and use the regular kitchen trash can for packaging only. We have another container to place plastic and glass bottles and aluminum cans. The guinae pigs have their own room behind the kitchen area. You may hear them chirp when you crinkle a paper or plastic bag. They know this sound means food is near. They do shed, so take this into consideration if you have allergies. Mosquitos do inhabit Orange County. We use bug zappers, but mostly we need you to be cognizant of open doors when you come and go from the house (also for heating and cooling). The longer the door is left open, the more unwanted bugs can enter. Guest access The downstairs bathroom is used by our eldest daughter, please only use it for emergencies. Your bathroom is just at the top of the stairs. There is an extra microwave in the Guinae Pig room if the one inside the kitchen is being used. If you need a change of pace from studying in your room, you may study at the kitchen table. Please watch TV in the living room when the family is not using it. Please do not use the desks by the fireplace in the kitchen. Please do not handle the Guinae Pigs without supervision. Please ask if you are unsure how to use or operate something. Generally the thermostat is pre-set and should not need adjusting, but if you will be home during the day, let us know to make adjustments for before 4 pm. During your stay Our son is a sophomore at Fullerton College and has a job. Our daughter is a 23 year old college grad working full time. Interactions will be sporadic, but don't hide in your room. You can sit and eat in the kitchen or watch tv in the living room or go spend time at the community pool. Other things to note Orange County has so much to enjoy. Our home is a religion and politics free zone. Please keep your ideas to yourself and we will do the same. We cannot accommodate overnight guests. Occupancy is for 1 person only. The library is outside the complex and across the street. It makes for another great study area.
