Welcome to the green heart of France, La Creuse! Gîte 'Du Lapin' is a cozy, rural cottage with terrace. Ideal for families, friends but also wonderful for the two of you. The holiday home has everything you need for an unforgettable stay. Soak up the outdoors, nature, and take a dip in your private pool. The detached house is 100 m2, with a well-equipped kitchen, free Wi-Fi, parking space, and has 6 beds. We hope to see you soon! The space Cottage 'Du Lapin' is a homely and cozy holiday home. This farmhouse from 1865 is completely renovated while retaining its authentic character. The interior is a mix of old and new, with rough stone walls, old beamed ceilings, modern and vintage furniture complemented with special accessories and precious family pieces. The vacation home has 6 sleeping places and space for a baby. Sleeping places: 2 double beds, 1 bunk bed for children (max. 75 kg per person) and a camp bed. We offer a fully furnished vacation home with kitchen utensils, dishes, furniture, bedding, towels and household linens. Ground floor • Living room: pellet stove, electric heating, comfortable sofa, 2 armchairs, coffee table, TV (French channels only), soundbar, Chromecast and Blu-ray player. • Children's nook: toys, books, DVDs, crafts, and in the kitchen there is an old-fashioned chest of puzzles and games for the whole family. • Kitchen: is very well equipped and has everything you need to cook extensively. There is plenty of work space to cook together. The large dining table is a great place for family meals, drinks or game nights. Equipment: 4-burner gas stove/oven, dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, Nespresso, small electric oven, kettle, toaster, hand blender, filter coffee machine, crockery, glassware, cutlery, pans, kitchen linen, fire extinguisher and a basic first aid kit. • The stairs in the living room can be closed upstairs with a stair gate and opens onto the landing. 1st floor The three bedrooms have good mattresses and comfortable bedding for a restful sleep. The beds are made upon arrival. There are plenty of closets available. • Bedroom 1: Double bed 140x200 • Bedroom 2: double beds 160x200 • Bedroom 3: 90x200 bunk bed for children (note: max. 75 kg per person) • Compact bathroom: luxurious shower cabin, double sink with drawers, towel radiator and towels • Next to the bathroom is a separate toilet. Outdoor • Private terrace: located directly in front of the gîte, with garden furniture, a large parasol, a good barbecue, and overlooking a small garden and courtyard. • Private swimming pool (8x4m) is located at the rear of our estate (so not in front of the gîte) • Children can play on the swing or in the enclosed garden. Guest access The house (with its own entrance) is detached and there are no other guests, so you don't need to share anything here! You can park your car in front of the house. The gîte is located in a sloping landscape at about 400m altitude, which makes it a beautiful place. This also means that there are small differences in height inside and outside. The access paths outside are covered with gravel. Other things to note The vacation home has 6 sleeping places and space for 1 baby in a camping cot. Ask us about the possibilities. A car is recommended to get the best out of your stay. How far is the vacation home from amenities such as shops, pharmacy, etc.? Just 10.5 km (11 min.) away is the village of Bourganeuf with a supermarket (also for refueling), butcher, bakery, café, pharmacy, doctor, and charging points for electric cars. Please note: our vacation home does not offer a charging point! A complete range of shops and restaurants can be found in Guéret (27 km/30 min). Activities Because of the vast nature, the Creuse is a beautiful department in every season! There is plenty to do for everyone. From hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking and climbing to visiting authentic villages, towns and regional markets. During your stay, we would be happy to provide you with additional information. Use of the swimming pool • The private saltwater pool (size 8x4m, depth 1.40m) is closed during the winter season and open from the end of April until October, depending on the weather. Please ask us about the current status. • You can use the swimming pool daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Do you have any special requests or other plans? Let us know, and we'll be happy to work with you. We are flexible in this regard. • Use is entirely at your own risk because the pool is unsupervised. • As long as you are with us, you have the pool all to yourself; there are no other guests! • The pool has a sliding cover for the safety of small children, but it also ensures that the water stays clean and at a pleasant temperature. • Bring your own towels for the pool or outdoor use, because we do not provide them.
