Other things to note Welcome to Our Smart Home! This home is equipped with advanced features, including an electricity usage monitor to help manage energy consumption responsibly. Recently, there has been a slight increase in electricity usage, particularly with the heating and air conditioning system. To ensure comfort for everyone and maintain energy efficiency: Thermostat Use: Please set the thermostat to moderate temperatures. Extreme settings may cause discomfort in the basement apartment below. Appliances & Lights: Kindly turn off appliances, lights, fans, and other electronics when not in use. Running them excessively may increase energy usage. Energy Policy: The typical electricity usage for this home is $350/month. If electricity usage exceeds this amount due to excessive use, you will be charged the difference. Laundry Guidelines: This home features smart appliances, including a washer/dryer/combo. To prevent overuse: Laundry use is limited to three days per week. By default, these days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday by default, but if you prefer two alternative days, let us know, and we’ll adjust the schedule for you. We encourage consolidating laundry into larger loads to help manage operational costs. Important Reminder: Excessive energy consumption beyond normal usage will result in an overage charge.
