Looking for a private country getaway but VERY close to shops & amenities? You found it! The Old Pool House is ideally situated within the private green belt grounds of a gorgeous country estate in historic Bradford on Avon close to Bath & lovely surrounding towns. Furnished for comfort, it has a king bed, log burning stove & a large, luxury shower room. Plus your own patio & a 50 inch smart TV, Netflix & hi-speed wi-fi. Two mins drive to a local supermarket (Siuansburys). Max. 3 guests. The space It’s a fabulous space and designed to be both stylish and comfortable. It is in a secluded part of the estate and you will really feel like you’re in the countryside - even though Sainsbury’s is just 2 mins away by car. - The cottage will be decorated to celebrate Christmas from early December. - very comfortable King bed with 6 feather pillows - log burning stove (wood and kindling provided) - 50 inch smart TV on the wall with Netflix. - large en-suite shower room with toilet. - free hi speed wi-fi - a sofa which you can covert to a single bed easily. We do NOT make it up for you as not everyone wants to use it and you make want to use it as a sofa during the day, but there is made-up bedding provided and spare towels (both under the bed) for a third person. - it can be either heated or air conditioned (you control the temperature). - a small but functional kitchen with coffee and tea provided as well as breadand cereal. - Kitchenaid combi microwave and a hot plate - small fridge with ice box Dogs are very welcome (there is one dog bed) for well behaved furry friends (we do have friendly show spaniels ourselves) and we even have 2 dedicated fantastic, private (award winning) dog play fields on site you can book at a special rate. So grab a coffee from the kitchen (or glass of wine!) and go and sit and watch your doggo have stacks of fun with some amazing views of BoA in a wonderful green belt setting. They are ideal before you set off on your journey home or when you arrive. Your dog will thank you for it. We don't recommend you stray from your area and walk the grounds with dogs as there are other guests and dogs on site including our own, but there are plenty of local walks. Sainsburys is a 2 min drive away and Bath centre is just 12 mins away by train from Bradford on Avon. Guest access The area is peaceful as our grounds cover 12 acres We have set it up for you to not need us (so we won’t meet and greet you) and you can come and go as you please and we probably won’t see you. There's lots of very useful information in the guidebook, and simple instructions on everything in a metal drawer by the books - BUT please feel free to contact us if you need any help or suggestions. We’re often asked - and we don’t mind! Other things to note - Please remember: if you book a non-cancellable rate, then we will not cancel or move it. - Please turn lights if when you go out We keep our rates low and want to be environmentally friendly and will turn lights off if you’re not there. - There is designated free private parking (off-road) for up to two cars. - You have your own private access to the Old Pool House. The main house is Granby House and it is entirely separate to the Old Pool House and is our home (and not a hotel 😃). - You have your own patio and section of the garden but it’s not enclosed (if you have dogs). - The pool is empty, covered and never in use. - We have spaniels ourselves and we’re dog friendly. We even have dog playing fields on the estate you can use which we will send details about when you book as you must have a booking to use it. - Car charger can be booked £20 paid beforehand per session. Please ask us as we will need to sort for you. - We have a travel cot with bedding already in cupboard and a BBQ so let us know if you need ahead of the booking. - Gravel, minimal exterior lighting and steps mean it is not ideal for those with limited walking abilities. We know people like to explore the estate BUT please DO NOT take your dogs to the cutting garden or dog fields - unless you have a booking.
